He’s added in the community tab the following for anyone struggling…
If you’re having trouble hitting the skill jump I posted this week, here’s a tip I didn’t consider:
Make sure you don’t hold crouch when you slide! Holding crouch will lower your peak jump height and make it impossible to reach the scoreboard. Just sprint > tap crouch to boost off and then time your jump about as late as you can before reaching the stairs.
If you have toggle crouch on in settings (I use hold to crouch personally) this might mean you’ll have to hit crouch twice to make sure you’re transitioning to stand as early in the slide as possible.
This is what I mean in my post in your own thread.
Doing a bum slide in H5 Plaza to Yellow/Gold Pipe/Window, whatever you want to call it, the first couple of times felt good, after that, you’d never miss it, was too easy, built in, could recover with a spring jump in the rare occasion you didn’t make it and a couple seconds later could thrust again
This, in infinite, you have to get in position, make the decision if it’s the right play because you can’t cancel, if you miss to the right you end up in the middle of nowhere with no cover, if you miss to the left you need a backup plan. It’s highly situational and difficult to do.
Not only that, every map will have its own starting point and route to different places whereas H5, you could bum slide to anywhere roughly the same technique.
I get what you mean. I can’t get behind that “limited” feeling tho. Halo infinite feels I’m in a big puffy jacket. Sure I can still do movement combos but it feels super stiff and limited doing so.
Regaurdless I’m in customs now practicing this slide
And just for the record, you said ‘customs’. Not sure if you meant training mode but if not do it there, switch bots off, change ammo to unlimited, grapple should already be equipment.
Then you’ll get unlimited grapples to return to the start point with, so it’s quicker.
