Tomorrow the “updated” MCC is going live on Game Pass and Tommy Kost just reported a glitch (my error, it was not found by him) to achieve lv 50 in ranked playlists without playing the game.

I wouldn’t count this as game breaking. If players use this and get a 50 and they aren’t a 50 they are just going to cause themselves to get stomped by legit 50s. I guess if they want to drag other players down because they aren’t the rank they glitched to just shows how sad they are. You don’t even get anything for getting a 50.
Prevent getting the xp/code to rank up if you lose connection at any point in the game, even when it’s reconnected. Possible fix?

I would probably care if there was an achievement or some sort of super rare armor peice tied to getting a 50, but since there isn’t all it does is make a playlist not very fun for the glitcher because he will only be in games with players way better than them.

They seriously better not. Ive been playing a lot working on getting these skill ranks again after the last reset.

I feel like they will be able to tell who is abusing this and take action.

I see what you’re saying, but the whole purpose of this patch for for proper matchmaking stability and ranked matches working properly. If the system can be so easily abused, then it kinda defeats the purpose, no?
With reports coming in from around the world of people not being able to find matches due to some sort of Ping/Location lock, and now this?
I’m still pretty happy with what was actually fixed, especially the improved co-op experience, but wow. Lots of more work to do it seems.

But how do you feel about seasons in H5?
I know that your overall SR isn’t being reset, but your playlist ranks are.

Fix the issue to assure it doesnt work. It doesnt mean they have to do another reset. I was highly against the first two resets. I didnt like it but I understood why.

My take on that is simple. Seasons are just that. Seasons. Overall rank is an overall rank. In MCC there is only your overall skill rank.

They should be able to tell who abused the glitch simply by the number of games played and who thy played. There can’t be very many legit 50s at this time. Hopefully they act quickly on this issue.

True. On a side note, has this even been confirmed? I cant see how this would actually work for your skill ranks. Could be simple video editing.
