2nd time in the past 2 days where I roll into a game without the ability to use REQs… was playing games up until that point, and had no issues. Then all of the sudden, NOPE. SORRY. Can’t access REQs.
Then, problem #2. Randomly the game will crash when I try to open a pack, OR when I just open the “store” menu.
Can someone please look into these? More and more of these bugs keep getting into the game, and its ruining the experience.
I had been getting the req problem since hog wild. But I never been getting the crashes but only on MP.
The workaround I have found is to quit the game and restart it. You’ll know the req system has failed because of the retrieving data message. If you go into a game while that message is on you will not have access to reqs. Thankfully it happens very rarely for me.
Its happened to me once or twice. Not too much of an issue in WZ but crippling in WZFF.
The same happens to me when I open the REQ store, it sometimes crashes but it’s not really a problem for me.
I have had these issues. Retrieving data throughout the entire game session. Also DNF at the end-game.
Also the req store unable process the transaction, has appeared several times.
This is not the first time this issues have been reported, but reports are always met with arrogant blame to the reporter. But when you provide proof, silence; they all disappear quietly and hope that you too will go away.

Problem #1: As “Your Grandkids” pointed out: Restart: just tap the big Xbox button on your controller, select Start on your controller, and then “Quit Halo 5 Guardians.” Boot the game back up and the problem is usually fixed. Not usually a big deal.
Problem #2: You are probably trying to buy and open REQ packs when you are in the middle of searching for a game right? That is a big NO NO. Buy and Open packs in the pre-game lobby.
I ‘lost connection to the servers’ during round 5 of a WZFF match the other day (tried to message the randos I was playing with to invite me back, but didn’t work), but other than that, I’ve not had a problem yet since the update.

Why would the “reporter” be blamed on not being able to use his reqs? I would’ve figured people know that it’s fairly common by now.
This happens once or twice a day personally. I can always tell when im about to be put into a game and i cant see the emblems i just get loading signs in place of them which has never happened prior to the last update. Sucks when you have to sit through a game like that when you are in a team with friends and then need to hard reset and hold up everyone else. I normally just tell people to play on and hopefully ill get jipped. Be nice for this to get fixed and i bet itll happen at the next update that is coming when who knows.
When you want to open req packs you have to back out of the game to the screen where you can select to play campaign, multiplayer, etc. The game has a bug if you open a req pack while your in the lobby it may open it but then the game crashes and you don’t get to see what you received in the pack.
If your getting games with no reqs your NAT changed from open to moderate and is restricting some of the game features like party talk and reqs. Go to settings and restart the xbox this will reset everything and it should work properly after that.
I always go to setting/network and check to see if my NAT is set to Open before I start playing. It really sucks to play WZFF with no reqs…
I have a Kinect and my power setting is set so I can yell at the xbox to start without messing with the controller. The xbox needs to be restarted occasionally to get a fresh connection to the servers.
Hope this helps…

Exactly… this started since the update before the WZFF update.
I’ve rarely had these issues, but when I did they were all at the same time. I chalk it up to connectivity issues or server issues on their side.

It’s not much of a workaround though is it? Quitting gets you banned, and it’s not like you can just rejoin the game you left.

I’d assume he means to quit the build, not to quit when you’re actually in a game. It’s a workaround tho if you want to use your stuff later on.
