I have always been a big fan of Halo and the original battlefront and wanted large battles similar in size to be set in a Halo universe. War zone did this to some extent and I hope it is built and improved on. This thread is a humble suggestion on that improvement. Now if this has been done before I apologise for any annoyance.
The original battlefront two had the Galactic conquest map where you were given a star map and played a game of risk where you strategical managed your forces before entering a system, then engaged in space combat for orbital control then finally had your ground assault. If 343i can work this formula into Halo 6 war zone I think we could have a winner.
It can be set during the war and/or after and dependant on how you fought and controlled or lost a system, certain perks could be achieved if played as a closed group against the AI like in firefight or other players in war zone. This can allow players to finally get the space battles so many have been asking for, expanding the lore and game play audience and refine a good idea. Granted this will have some sort of micro transaction system in it but I think it could work.
Anyone share this opinion, can think it could be refined or think I am speaking hot garbage comment and let’s discuss.

Not just the space battles but a formula like Galactic conquest allows for other things to be brought back in. Playable Elites could be re introduced for example.

I hope elites are brought back in the future. It gets a bit boring fighting other Spartans.

That would be a great idea. Maybe if they were to add that into Halo 6, maybe we could get some playable elites.
It’d be cool if the mode was properly invested in;
Different planets could have different resources that give you different rewards, actual combat could have bombers, fighters, specialist ships, gunships and dropships, you could have different hangers to infiltrate, with different objectives to take out, maybe a comm room has fleet intel that gives you a bonus for exploring the enemy ship, stuff like that.
galactic conquest was definitely my favorite part about battle front. having a halo version would be option, but I wouldn’t mind some changes to the formula to keep it more like halo.

I agree it shouldn’t be a carbon copy of battlefront and should have many distinct Halo features about it. However I think it can work and make the hyper abilities founder in Halo 5 to carry on, while more core Halo game play could be left for arena or custom playlists.

Every time I seem to see you comment I seem to agree with said comment
Maybe if you destroy a ship in space it’d slowly come crashing down into a base making it unclaimable so whoever has 2 out of 2 bases (as one was destroyed) would unlock the core
also forgot what it was called but where you choose the options before battle like a squad follows you etc could be different for each map like a watcher could follow you and heal you and your teamates like the thing from ODST (the purple alien forgot its name) but would be an easy target if the enemy see it

Ha, cool, it’s nice someone does.
Having a BF1 style map changer like a ship crashing from Orbit would be a heck of a set piece, but I’m not sure how viable that would be in Multiplayer, perhaps the planet map has two variants, one with a Covie wreck and one with a UNSC wreck, and the winner of the space battle determines the variant of ground map? I could see that being do-able, though said maps would be a heck of a time-sync…
Anyway, I love the idea of having an Engineer follow and heal you, but what if the Engineer was also a replacement for the bomb and you had to escort it to the enemy base/engine room? I mean, sad because, poor Engineer, but still, a payload type objective is something we haven’t really seen in Halo multiplayer (that I can remember anyway) so it’d be a cool addition. Maybe the UNSC have a regen station attached to a havok nuke or something like that as their equivalent.
It’s a game-mode I’d love to see 343 try, though I’d rather it be part of a spin-off with dedicated effort to developing it than having it be a separate game mode in one of the mainline titles, personally. And please no micro-transactions, I don’t want to see a Seraph with Pepperoni decorating it’s hull…(HYPERBOLE)

Haha. I agree that no one wants a pizza vinyl covered broadsword, I think that some forms of micro transaction will happen, maybe not for map packs and new vehicles as I think 343 have more or less put themselves in a position where it is expected by the community.
Something like the Req system which is better polished which gives the player more meaningful content and perks like announcer voices among other things.
