Future Thoughts: MCC

Just out of curiosity, if the next big Halo title has Chief as the main character, would that mean that the game would belong in MCC? Technically, it is a collection of Chief’s main games.

It’s not going to be added onto the game, if that’s what you’re asking.

Doubt Halo 6 will be added to the collection even if Chief was in the majority (to all the missions) in the campaign.

But I could see Halo 6 Beta being added to the MCC to get players to come back to the game.

This makes sense but they would have to add another big update after the already huge summer update

I think that moving forward, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be used as a hub for legacy Halo titles.

Adding another game to an already large one is not going to happen. If anything, they’d have to add Halo 5 to MCC first since it still focuses on the Chief, albeit in a weird and unconventional way.

Halo 5 is already about 40% larger than MCC, so adding that would mean more than doubling its file size. Assuming Halo 6 comes in at around 100GB and you have a game that’s nearly 300GB.

Dude the only reason why Halo 5 has high GB is because of the movie effect in campaign and 343 doesn’t compress there files. Most of the Multiplayer is on the cloud hence why u can’t play multiplayer or local play unless your connected to Xbox Live.

Nope, that’s not how games work, not even close to how the cloud is used for games, and that’s not the reason why you can’t play local multiplayer. If everything was in the cloud, you’d see a crap ton of lag. Please do your research before making outrageous claims.

As an example, look on YouTube for how crappy Sony’s version of backwards compatibility called “PS Now” is. That’s what a streaming game looks like.

Yeah. I’d really like to try the beta version of Infinite.

I don’t think we’re getting a Halo Infinite Beta until next year at the earliest

This I could see. Didn’t they do this exact same thing for Halo 5?

Mmm ok I don’t see your version of why the game is outragedly big for no reason. No what I see is someone hating on someone else’s logic without putting what they think is correct. People like you is why nothing ever changes in the right direction because you hate more then anything else on other people logic for no reason. If its right or not who cares because at the end of the day the game is still way to big for what’s in it.

If you think what you said is logic, you clearly have a lot to learn and I’m no longer going to bother wasting my time replying to you any further. I wasn’t hating on anything, only providing facts that might help someone reading this post. It’s people like you who spew out whatever comes to mind without understanding or attempting to ask questions to understand these complex systems and then play victim and try to cast people trying to explain something in a bad light that are a cancerous plague on communities everywhere.
