Future Req system....maybe

Morning Spartans,

Happy Easter, now I am sure many of us have been awash with speculation on what halo 6 might bring to the table or simply when it will be on the table but here is something which I think will very well be in the future title. Micro transactions, love them, dispise them, it’s here to stay. Now after EA broke the gaming world internet with their handling of BF2 pay to win, gambling microtransactions and lost a good few millions in projected revenue, they revamped the structure and it seems for the better.

Your power ups are based on how much you play with said class, vehicle or ship. Hero units are also tied to this play to progress structure and as of writing this, in game credits will be (isnt live yet) used to purchase non gameplay affected cosmetics and skins.

The Req system has made 343i a metric -Yoink- tonne of money so it will return. My theory is that it will take the form of cosmetics, let say some armour sets, announcer voices vehicle and weapon skins being sold in set packs easily purchased. While weapon, vehicle variants will be mostly progress related but could pop up in flash sales now and again. I believe that 343i like many studios have seen how not to do it and also how best to fix it by looking at EA.

However what do you all think, is it something you could see happening or not at all? Discuss below.

I’d rather cosmetics not be randomized in any way. req weapons and vehicles can stay randomized, I find it enjoyable to see what I get out of the packs. as for cosmetics, or at least the armor, it should run on a point based system. if 343 wanted points to be purchasable instead of packs then that’s fine by me but if they do that then various sets of armor should be unlocked before you can pay for them in points similar to how reach did it.

I’m sure you can leave your thoughts in the existing wishlist threads. Why not start out with the H6 wishlists? Links in my signature.
