I don’t know about you guys but all this forerunners appearing out of nowhere again in the halo universe is fishy. Correct me if I’m wrong but Didn’t the humans, covenant, flood etc. Believe the forerunners where dead? Then the good ol’ master chief discover the didactic and he tells him something along the lines of “The forerunners will rise again.” Now this gets me thinking humans have already gone to war with the forerunners before haven’t they not? I believe halo is going in this direction. (Speculation) . IN halo 5 master chief early on in the game discoveries cortana is alive in the forerunner servers (much like jarvis in avengers age of ultron) and se becomes a virus slowly destroying the forerunners sense we learned in halo 5 they are part digital; he is out on a search to rescue her witch causes him to go awal. blah blah right. during this time the forerunners are creating havoc in order to weaken the human colonies to eventually go to war with the humans and reclaim the “mantle” as sir didactic says. Master chief creates a temporary truce with the warden internal so he can retrieve cortana because in her awal state she becomes a virus in the forerunners servers. once MC retrieves her the warden internal betrays him and destroying a major human civilization. hence sparking a new human forerunner war. then chief dies in halo 6 by the hands of the forerunner leader but not without killing him in the process.
