I just thought about if we are going to have more covenant after this game. Now lets say the covenant Jul controls is gone. But a good plot would be having Thel again as an enemy, maybe for some plot.
This could be a good excuse for 343i to fix the elites and make them a challenge as we all know they are not the same threat as they used to be, and the Thel’s troops are better than Jul’s. Maybe I got away from the point of this post but again I thought about it and now I am concerned. Dealing with Prometheans only? We still can have Flood back… What do you think will happen?
The covenant will be in future games.
A renewed covenant offensive against humanity would be somewhat likely - hopefully Arby will help out. Imagine seeing a full fledged elite energy sword battle. 5v5 mma on steroids!
Depending on how the rest of the halo 5 story goes I really can’t see the covenant being in another game. Their timeline ended in 3, juls bunch is just a bunch of rebels who jul deceived so they can work for him.
There could be many more sangheli factions out there with their own views and goals but they don’t necessarily have to be under the banner of the covenant.
The forerunners are a much larger threat right now but just like the covy saga ended theirs may end to.
Phil says halo will be around for years…personally I don’t see that happening but if it does than well they could take the universe in a whole new direction.

I want Juls storm covenant to be gone forever, I want to fight the Servants of the Abiding Truth or The Keepers of the One Freedom, and most of all I want brutes back.
The Covenant are synonymous with “Halo.” It would be a little outlandish to up and replace them with another enemy faction. I mean, I enjoy the Prometheans, but I think a large majority of Halo fans would prefer the Covenant, even after 6+ games. I think it would be interesting if Halo 5 ended in a way that renewed the conflict between humans and the covenant, or, a whatever they would be called.

The Flood
i loved the elites design from halo ce and 2 they had a lot of character as the series progress they got fatter, more aggressive and spoke less and less. Look at this clip from the blue team trailer they have turned into waddling fat -Yoinks!- lol blue team trailer
The flood could definitely be a constant threat. I kind of like the idea of ONI but I’d much prefer an alien threat to keep the sci-fi of Halo going. Otherwise it is just Human vs Human which is much more generic.
