Future Map Pack Suggestions Thread

We can only judge the Crimson Map Pack by it’s looks right now but one would have to admit that the map environments look very cut and paste. Now before it is too late what are your suggestions for 343 on the subject of map packs.

I for one would want bigger forge maps and a bigger addition of game modes to the playlist besides extraction. What do you think?

Really no suggestions? I would expect the opposite since seeing so much complaining about the crimson preview.

From what I understand after seeing a preview from IGN featuring concept art, the next two map packs have already been planned out. If there is a fourth, it’s going to be a long way away.

I said the environments look cut and paste, i think it’s pretty obvious…

I would just like to see some smaller maps for this game. Im still excited to play Crimson though we just need smaller maps is all. I think it would be awesome if 343 remade a map like the pit, guardian, lockout, or construct and released it for free. Like Bungie did with Cold Storage for Halo 3.

Crimson isn’t a very original looking map pack. Just look at how sandbox was in halo 3. Then look at Crimsons maps, they look like Complex and somewhat like Exile. They need large flat-hilly maps that can be used in forge. Id like to see a map with green rolling plains, but it will never happen.

Personally, I’m somewhat disappointed with the preview we saw of the Crimson maps… It reminded me of all the god awful DLC maps we got for Halo Reach. I know 343i are trying to distance themselves from Bungie, but Halo without classic maps returning is just kinda pitiful. I mean, it’s not hard to find previous maps that would easily work in Halo 4.

  1. Containment from Halo 2. Just make it more 343i Forerunner instead of Bungie Forerunner and you’ve got a great map for Dominion, BTB, and CTF.
  2. Narrows from Halo 3. Would also work, make it like the lava level in Spartan Ops and perhaps lengthen it just a bit.
  3. Waterworks from Halo 2. Just make it more 343i Forerunner instead of Bungie Forerunner. BTB, Dominion, CTF, and Infinity Slayer would all work.
  4. The Pit. Keep it the same, just slightly enlarge it to accomodate for Sprint.
  5. Standoff from Halo 3… Pretty much keep it the same.

I agree and I would also definitely like to see a map pack that focuses on big team battle objective gametypes. I’m really not sure why it’s not in the game already.
