My cousin and I were theorizing about what’s next for the Halo series story-wise. Our theories started off serious, but quickly degenerated into one-upping each other with more ridiculous plot-lines making fun of the new “love story” that 343 has made between MC and Cortana. So, without any further ado, here is my semi-serious prediction:
Halo 5: Chief searches for Cortana for most of the game. At the end he locates her, trapped in the composer. With Dr. Halsey’s help (Master Chief rescues her during the campaign) they reverse the Composer bringing Cortana back in human form.
Halo 6: Cortana and Chief suit up as a team to combat whatever 343 decides to make as the new threat. Halfway through the campaign, MC and Cortana have an ahem intimate moment. towards the end of the campaign the Master Chief sacrifices himself to save Cortana. Everybody is all sad. Roll credits. At the end of the credits it is revealed that Master Chief failed to destroy this new threat, and there is no one able to stop them. But wait! Cortana is pregnant with MC’s child and the next trilogy will be fought from the child(obviously a son)'s perspective.
Boom.
Hopefully nobody takes this too seriously…
