Future Halo Games

343 has a lot of options for future Halo games. As a devoted Halo fan I think it would be cool if 343 takes a step back in the timeline and makes a Halo game (or possibly more) taking place between Halo Wars (2531) and Halo: Reach (2552). That is a 21 year time gap in the Halo timeline in which a Halo game is yet to fill. Perhaps Halo Wars 2 will take place between these two games?

This would be a great chance to give fans who haven’t read the books to play it in game. I would love to play a game based on the book first strike.

I would definitely love more prequel/spinoff games, especially one entered on SGTMAJ Johnson,i think it would have a similar feel to Halo 3:ODST

Meh. I feel that timeline has nothing to add to the story. 343i have only just initiated an entirely new status quo for the galaxy, and they need a lot of work to deepen it and make it interesting rather than an AI rebellion cliche. They need to stop with those easy prequel stories and start expanding their addition to the unjverse, otherwise they’ll never redeem Halo 5.

I would like to see halo take a massive leap backwards in their games. Give us the timeline of the Ancient Humans that were wiped out by the Forerunner, that the librarian was talking about in Halo 4.

Here’s some awesome idea for the Halo universe:

  • ODST 2 - Halo story on the Marines at war against insurrectionist before the Covenant appears. - ONI operations and stealth missions - Spartan Fireteams, involving a Spartan turns bad so a fireteam is sent to assassinate him/her - UNSC space battles including fighters - Sangheili battles or Arbiter only story and battle a civil war - Halo Origin, the view from a Forerunner and the start of a war against the Flood
