Hello Halo Community and also my fellow Spartans in cryo waiting for Infinite! This post mostly goes out to any 343 members and or monitors who have direct access to them in some way or form. I know I’m just a simple fan of this franchise, I have been all my life since CE came out, but I still want to do this because I have IDEAS!
As I said I don’t expect anyone to actually come into contact with me but I had an idea for future DLC for Infinite since this is gonna be a 10 year or however long game. First and foremost an idea for the squad system: bring it back in Infinite similar to 5. I know I know unpopular opinion, but hear me out. This is an open world game and we have friends to play co-op with; imagine your the Chief and you have members of Blue Team, either your friends or randoms who joined an online session, able to run around and do mini objectives to an overall large mission, or co-op centric side missions to collect collectibles like UNSC Dog Tags or Logs from both sides. I’d love to see that and have the immersion and Role Play capability it could present to us!
Now for something else that’s a major topic: the Flood. I have my hopes they’ll be there in base game but if their not then this is the biggest DLC idea I’ve had! The DLC could be titled whatever (haven’t thought about that yet) and when you buy and download it and then load up the game a new objective pops up as all DLCs do. You are to meet a Monitor or a Sentinel or raid an old Forerunner security building and you get a key/index. What does this index do? Allows you to go into a containment field freely that holds the Flood and make it like Warframe with its Infested free roam area. Do missions, fight the Flood, and have fun with friends!
I know this thread probably will just get lost in the sea of fans and convos going on but I just wanted to put this out there. I had an idea that I thought not just I but the community would love and wished to share it. Thanks to any who read this and hope you have a good day!

Yeah, that would be nice. It would suck for Infinite to just throw away the Prometheans, which is what the Reclaimer Saga was kind of about… but maybe they’ll come later into the plot

On top of that I’ve always wanted to work with someone like 343 and write concepts and ideas for their games; just never have the right job openings up. I really wish I could talk to someone from there but as I said I’m just a fan, they probably don’t even have a blip pop up when we do something like this.

I have a DLC idea which could be like ODST except you play as marines. In one of the trailers for Halo Infinite you can see a squad of marines, one of which seems to be injured. This reminded me of our squad from Halo 3 ODST, and they could maybe make DLC for those marines. It could even be related to other things in the story, like the flood or other things we haven’t seen yet.

YO LEGIT THOUVH TALKED ABOUT THIS IN AN ODST FIREFIGHT GAME THE OFHER DAY!
My idea was a Firefight mode where you play as Mariner or ODSTs or maybe even Elites depending on the map; the entire point is it updates as new DLC are added ; so say a Base game enemy isn’t the Banished and then they do a Created DLC so add the option to fight Prometheans instead kinda thing. Your whole objective is like a basic firefight game but at the end you see like Master Chief and Blue Team drop in in pods or a Pelican or the Arbiter use a lift to go down, or even a group of Spartan IV’s led by Palmar (depends on character). It could be a cool little thing like a cameo but the kicker I had thought of was it ‘contributes’ sort of like the Mass Effect 3 multiplayers did to the overall war rating: group survives and goes into help in the fight ya know?
More maps, more weapons. Maybe more story expansion too.
I want to see a DLC campaign levels where ODST Troopers are the main characters in Halo Infinite. I can see the DLC campaign levels that is set either before Halo Infinite or after Halo Infinite. It will also be great to see Arbiter getting his own DLC campaign levels in the new Halo video game.
