On the rare occasions that I play Halo 4, and I blow up a Fusion Coil, the explosion looks like a bottle of Tropicana exploded. Just something stupid looking I’ve noticed and was wondering if anyone else thought this. This also happens in Halo 2 Anniversary as well.

As stupid as this may seem, there are reasons why the fusion coils in Halo 4 explode this way. Halo 4 is a game that pushes the Xbox 360 nearly to it’s physical limit. 343 Industries had to make adjustments so Halo 4 could be on the Xbox 360 (Otherwise it would’ve ended up on the Xbox One), and one of those adjustments was downscaling of most explosions, including Fusion Coils. This was one of the sacrifices that was needed for Halo 4 to ship on the Xbox 360, and as much as I miss the larger explosions and mini nuke grenades from the previous games, I’m happy that Halo 4 made it onto the 360.
Proof of memory limitations can be found with the Champions DLC Bundle and Spartan Ops. Due to memory limitations, players are not able to use Champions DLC armor, Champions DLC weapons, or Champions DLC tactical packages/support upgrades in Spartan Ops.
As for Halo 2 Anniversary, if I’m not mistaken, some assets from Halo 4 were borrowed for H2A, so that should answer that question.
