Ok excluding the epilogue of reach, what is the furthest we have gone into the canons timeline?

The Halo “Believe” advertising campaign that was made for Halo 3 is considered non-cannon. The Halo: REACH epilogue is still up in the air on whether it is cannon or not.

But that stuff is all just collectors stuff “supposedly from the universe”
There was a short story about an elite in 2559, but really nothing past 2558 has really happened yet. (Past spartan ops)

Actually I personally got Believe confirmed by a 343i employee. Its canon. There is interviews done in 2610 showing veterans from the war. There was a monument made.
Does the public know of Master Chiefs Return. We dont know.(it was brought up but we never see if it was put to action)
Does the public know about the Ark. We dont know.(they may have heard of it but never seen it or know what it does)
Does believe show the public knowledge. No.
Does Believe account for rumors said by people. Of course not.
Does believe cover in detail every single thing that happened during the supposed battle. No meaning that the Portal could still be included.
Aka this means that Believe could be a cover up.
A)to hide the existence of the Ark
B)to hide what really happened to the Chief.(do the public really want to know the Chief went awol and ultimately his fate)
