Further Customisation Updates

Really appreciate the update organising the customisation from each game into categories based on unlock requirements; Default/Series (x)/The Exchange.

I was thinking on further ways to improve the current system;

  • Ability to collapse each category (similar to how the Halo 4/Reach armour variants subcategories collapse).
  • Filters (perhaps even a search filter) to sort/find things faster.
  • Ability to hide unwanted items (to a separate “hidden” category).

Finally, I would appreciate if we could have more refined toggles. Following on from my previous idea,

  • “Hidden” items could default to the default armour in-game (like “new skins” - disabled, currently does).
    Or
  • A less granular toggle to enable/disable entire Series appearing
    Or
  • A 343i curated toggle; Original+ which just excludes all the “Fracture” customisation but keeps formerly cut content and new more fitting “Halo-y” items.

Also, in addition to all this;

The “New Skins” Toggle doesn’t work on Poses on the post match podium screen. It’s always on regardless of setting. Not sure if that’s a bug or intentional design but realistically the toggle should apply there too.

I’ll add that I’d like the ability save a Spartan or Elite customization scheme (Armor / Colors / Stance) to a favorites section.

That way I could swap between my various looks without changing each individual setting every time.

One thing they need to do for the Halo 4 Poses is bring back the Halo 4 Stances in the MCC UI for the Poses. I checked the Poses for Halo 4 if they matched with the original stances and they don’t, these are all new type of poses. Luckily, I am going to assume this is easy to do as Unreal Engine is very easy for them to add and customize more of them this since they did the renders across all games in the collection for customization. Plus Halo 4 is the only game with the Stances/Poses that is a legacy feature but they could add this to all the other game’s poses for the MCC Menu.

I like this idea. I would add that I think it would be good if we could set our in-game profile avatar as one of the poses separately from the Podium screen. That would be less intrusive and then have the Podium as a separate option.

Personally, I don’t really like the podium screen, it just adds more clutter screens to navigate through to get to the next match.
