Thinking back to some of the funniest moments I’ve had in Halo 5, I remembered when I was sniping in Warzone and I managed to kill one guy enough for him to send a message along the lines of “go back to call of duty if you want to camp you scrub” and that absolutely made my day better. Anyone else had a similar experience?
I played some guy I wound up destroying multiple times throughout the round. He was even camp sniping with beam rifle, and I went head to head with a DMR and smoke him long range.
Anyways, later in the game I was shields down with a SMG in traffic, and he happened to turn the corner and hit me with a rail gun. He then proceeded to t-bag me. I finished the game 28-6 and he finished 12-13. We had a nice chat, to say the least, after the game.

Me and my friends (full team) wrecked the enemy team, before the game, one of them said “we are automatically better than you lol 
you suck”, I replied “Prove it.” My friends told me everytime they spotted them, the enemies proceeding to camp. And everytime one of us die, they proceed to t-bag us, I only t-bagged the one who did it to me. After the game they said, “you still suck, haha”, the funniest part comes in, one person accidently turned on their mic and I heard one of them CRYING! I then said “Were you crying?”. They said “No but I bet you did :D”. I said “Little kids right?”. They said “No, but you are :D”. I said “Even if it was true, that wouldn’t change the fact that my team TOTALLY WRECKED YOU KIDS”. I then proceeded to block their team. All these quotes were from messages.

I think my fav, Not halo 5, was before a match people making fun of my name… Now it happens A LOT, and it amuses me, but at the end of the match, after all the insults and cruel words, it was silent. I won, I think it was a REACH match, I was playing and going for assassinations… But it was dead quiet after. I look forward to Tuesday Halo 5!

I’ve actually laughed at some stuff they thought was threatening. No hate to those people though, I understand how little brain power you can have while angered, happened to me on more than one occasion. But seriously, no hate, I understand the frustration.

Same happened to me! It turned out they were little kids from 5-6 and they were crying and they said I sucked, even though I didn’t die once in that match!

Yep. Same with me. Usually I would send them a message saying u didn’t suck.

I have had many many hate messages over my time of playing. One that I remember was this guy sent me a message and swore at me and said -Yoink-. So I just responded saying Giant Tiger Flying Overhead? And he was like you are such in idiot you 5 year old so I proceeded to say actually I’m 3 then he just stopped messaging me haha.
It says yoink but if you piece together the capital letters of the giant tiger thing you’ll know what it is.
I haven’t received any hate mail in Halo 5 yet, but I do remember this one time back in the Reach days when this guy accused me of using an aimbot (are those even possible on consoles?), which is hilariously flattering because I wasn’t. On top of that, I was a Halo scrub back in 2010 so it’s actually gotten funnier over the years since I’ve gotten so much better. I mean, it’s one thing to get angry at a good player for consistently outperforming you, but a less-than-average player? LOL
Being told I was “getting owned” over XBL messages after I had demolished someone on Entombed Snipers. Absolutely made my night, I was in tears.
I general block people who annoy me. So one time in Reach I was doing surprisingly good, and it really pissed of a bunch of twelvies on the other team. So my friend decided to go into game chat (we were in part chat so we didn’t need to listen to everyone) to see what they were saying. And all 4 of them were chanting:
“Corrupt is a gaybo!”
In perfect sync.
Honestly I haven’t received a hate message since the early days of halo 4 Spartan ops. I wish I got more so I could mess with them a bit 
After winning a capture the flag match many years ago I received, “You ruined my perfection you little -Yoink-!” Didn’t have the heart to respond and tell the kid it was an objective game type.
