fun ways to mess around in halo 4 campaign???

Hey guys, I was just wondering if there are fun ways to mess around in the halo 4 campaign, for example, in halo reach during the mission new alexandra (the one where you fly around in the falcon) you can go around and jack banshees. The only thing that I have found so far in Halo 4 is at the beginning of the mission where you have to fly the pelican, you can kill all the spartans and soldiers in that room with the pelican. So, anybody have any good ways to mess around?

Haven’t found anything, unfortunatly.

dang, reach was so great in the way that you could mess around in the campaign levels.

> dang, reach was so great in the way that you could mess around in the campaign levels.

I know, right. Shame. I feel like I’m in a canyon and theres only one place to go in the campaign. What a shame.

Halo 2’s Campaign is by far the best Campaign to mess around in. Try and get the scarab gun

There really is nothing. Halo 4 has no exploration aspect at all. Where as 2 had the scarab gun, and all kinds of areas you could get out, 3 had a bunch of areas to get out and go places you didn’t know existed, and reach even had hidden race mini games.

Halo 4 has nothing.

Or they haven’t been found yet.

This long after release? And none found? They don’t exist.

Yea, usually people would have found those really quickly.

I just wish I didn’t feel like I was in a canyon with only one way to go in the campaign.

Too many invisible walls in Campaign.

I’m bummed that there is no Theater for Campaign (or Spartan Ops for that matter).

I used to LOVE to explore the maps in campaign. I’d spend hours with friends putzing about. Trying to get outside of the maps, or exploiting other things about them. It was just harmless fun.

I’ve yet to find anything like that in H4’s campaign. Hopefully something will be found. No theater is really crushing the desire to replay campaign again though. Other than the one last achievement I need for H4, at this point I don’t have much of a reason to go back and play it.

It’s a beautifully done campaign to be sure. Lack of exploration and theater just don’t make it as replayable as previous titles have been.

You can log onto SpOps and jump into the lava a couple of times

So many cherished memories…

There’s been a bit of talk about slynki breaking Composer. I’m waiting for Dec. 30 to find out if it’s really possible.

After that, I’ll be under the impression that the entire campaign has been uncovered, no new soft walls to find, no new skips to utilize or perfect.

the shield door skips in the mammoth level are pretty cool, what about the sniper elites easter egg (crate hunt)?

> the shield door skips in the mammoth level are pretty cool, what about the sniper elites easter egg (crate hunt)?

I’m afraid that hunt’s gone nowhere.

I’m told that the crate spawning is bugged.

that’s a bummer

These are all the found out of maps on Solo afaik (I can provide videos if requested). Not as great compared to the older Halo games.

Dawn:

-getting pushed out by a Phantom in the space area

Requiem:

-one near the crash site. Pointless
-one near the Hogs. Pointless
-getting out at the Forerunner structure. It gives you a vantage point against the Covies and can be used to avoid spawning some enemies but that’s about it. Not a skip
-getting out with the Banshee at the bridge, pointless on Solo

Forerunner:

-getting out at the light bridge on Solo
-getting out in the area near the first Knight Battlewagon, useful for safely skipping the Knight
-getting out with the Banshee at the pylons, useful for skipping

Infinity:

-at rally point alpha, you can easily get out. Very limited
-at rally point bravo, during the fight with two Knight Battlewagons, you can box launch out. Not much roaming space
-at rally point charlie, there’s a way to get onto a huge log from which you can drop down and skip 90% of the Scorpion section

-inside Infinity, you can clip through the door before it opens and destroy the door that’s supposed to be blown up by the Mantis but you can’t progress until you’ve killed all the enemies outside. Once you’ve killed them, the switch will become active and bring up the Mantis. You can drive all the way to the elevator, but it won’t open and it’s clip proof. If you get in the Mantis, then the game will play out as normal. But if you damage the Mantis, the game will not spawn the Grunts, Jackals, or the first few Promethean turrets. But you’ll still have to fight your way to the elevator. Pointless

Reclaimer:

-safely getting to the Target Locator
-using the Mammoth’s mini-MAC to launch to the next area (with the Banshees). Pointless because of a huge soft kill zone. If you blow up the AA cannon, it’ll be gone but the enemies will spawn (minus Banshees). You can land on a Phantom and use it to fly to the shield area, avoiding triggering the enemies and the next area but you can already skip that section by clipping through the shield wall. Pointless
-clipping through the shield wall
-sniper alley soft wall
-getting out early in the Forerunner structure. There’s nothing behind those closed doors…
-getting under the map
-getting out late in the Forerunner structure. This can be used to spawn Sentinels after the Prometheans arrive, which can distract them
-getting under the Prometheans. Not really needed since you can already run past the enemies
-scaling the cliff on the right to get past the shield door
-using a Scorpion flip launch to get past the shield door

Shutdown:

-the infamous third tower trick
-getting under the map inside the towers

Composer:

-forklift jump, useful for skipping
-soft wall at the first visit to the Composer area, let’s you skip waiting for the door to open
-soft wall at the second airlock, let’s you skip the entire battle or get into the airlock for some mischief
-soft wall right before the second visit to the Composer, let’s you get on top of the roof without triggering the dancing Grunts to attack you. From there you can get to the battlefield without triggering them
-soft wall with a Banshee, not much to do other than getting to the top of the level

Midnight:

-getting out of the Broadsword run at the start
-getting out of the Broadsword run later
-box launching. Top of the map, getting closer to the Didact

Infinity, Reclaimer, and Composer feature the most exploration.

You cant

No hold on, I just saw a video today of someone getting a Pelican on the mission Reclaimer.
