This idea came from Battlefield 3 with it’s Armor Kill map pack (Tank superior). If you have islands around a map and the islands are the own little bases. This promotes the use of other vehicles such as flying ones. This also means balance it on scale (the further you are the less damaged the vehicle get.
Mode such as this is good for two things. Test balance objects, modes, making a fun game etc. New turret function like Gears of wars 3 can come in too (you are in a computer, seeing through it to shoot down things), only available when captured a base (or something like it).
You could variate this with World of warcraft did on PvP, Arathi Basin. Where you score points on capture points. This has it’s lack of teamwork ability though, plus I hate swarm genre on a first person perspective gameplay.
This could also make a change to promote a new kind of vehicle, a boat. Never before has Halo had a boat function in it’s games. It sounds weird somehow but it’s just ideas. Like I said this mode would be there to “test” different functions basically.
Now this ALSO sounds stupid since time and experience makes any game better (with updates) so this is not needed anyways…just a thought…
