Ahh, Halo 3. Your multiplayer was the most fun I’ve ever had. A few of my fun moments mostly involved vehicles. Hog charges on Avalanche, rockin’ with the Gauss, Hornet-flying…good times.
What were some of your fun moments in Halo 3 in it’s prime?
I remember one time ages ago on Avalanche Multi-Flag, our flag was stolen and the carrier was riding on the side of a Hornet. I managed to take the man cannon up as it was leaving, and get a mid-air assassin kill on the carrier and board the hornet just after, it was sheer luck but still looked awesome on theater.
I also liked back then and now looking at some of the weird unexplainable multiplayer moments, seeing sniper kills that make no sense after tracing the bullet into a wall, double kills awarded for a single kill. Buggy rockets and mongoose splatters being the best to watch, for some reason it was either impossible to get splatters with a mongoose on direct hits or it was a splatter kill for driving nearby a player.
Bad splatters I’ve had and still do sometimes, Standoff I was messing around because the match host had an awful connection and BRs weren’t registering properly at all. So, I took a mongoose, saw an enemy player from behind, hit him perfectly but instead of killing him, I bounced off at super speed and got a double betrayal splatter on my teammates hiding in a bubble-shield. Of course I had no idea how to explain what happened at the time as you can imagine they weren’t happy.
