So look, I know it’ll NEVER happen BUT; how cool would it be if we could choose helmet less like in ODST?

I know this Convo has probably come across veteran forum stalkers, but it’s fun to bring up again as tech progresses.

Honestly I think it’s just another avenue to get armor out of the store. They could EASILY make ALL no helmet expression gear store based.

Beards.

Hair

Tattoos and piercings

Accessories like head band cat ears for your horror kawaii Spartans out there!

MP menu/ player card/ end of game victory pose Spartans holding helmets.

Pair this in with the hope of custom armor patterns and maybe one day some cracked visors too (tell me that wouldn’t be sick)!

Take that image I just gave you and imagine with me for 2 minutes what could be.

It’s 1:01 on the clock. The score board is 2-2. You have the flag. You zoom up right and slide out the second floor room into the alley out below. Your team mates rushes for the bulldog, as you round the corner the enemies are Nading the doorway. Teammate manages to take one down and dies in a dual melee death. It’s the home stretch but the delay sees you at 17 seconds.

You clamber the dumpster avoiding and ducking commando and BR fire and deposit the flag. Shield cracked and barely living.

There stands your Spartan . Battle torn and scrapped armor with faded plasma scorch burns. His face young but scarred. An eye is white and slightly closed. Crop top hair and a 5’clock shadow.

In his hand a Mark V (B) helmet with a cracked silver visor.

The match ends.

Again. I never expect this to become a thing in halo, Like Ever ; but tell me that wouldn’t be the most Bad Donkey you ever rode to town on?

As with any cosmetic related suggestions while Infinite is struggling to stabilize itself as a product:

  • Would be cool
  • Personally don’t care for it
  • Hope 343 focuses on more important things

This post isn’t a request?

I’ve posted many times before core dynamics are what’s most important; as well as I’ve discussed elsewhere that I don’t believe cosmetics will be where they should be let alone the store for a year or two as well.

I don’t disagree but I’m looking for a fun conversation with anyone whose had the same idea or looking to extend upon it. Nothing more nothing less.

What honestly bothers the most about infinites gameplay is the current XP gain ratios and lack of game modes. I’ve had little technical issue save for customs and the usual desync.

I want nothing more then the ever growing list of technical issues to be fixed first, especially infection so I can just go back to relaxing with halo and ignoring the 50 XP grind. Till then, my Spartan can stay the horrific blend of colors and base armors till my turn of most desired and personally effected features come around.
