Now hear me out!! We’ve grown up with Arby and Chief but we were only lucky enough to have another perspective of the Covenant in H2 … adds a lot of substance and am very surprised we’ve never seen a full blown Halo Game with a Covenant focused theme to it… maybe I’m crazy but I think it would be amazing to glass planets, hunt spartans and just see first hand both sides of the conflict throughout the series. Would really complement the lore too in my opinion just giving perspective to players that don’t read and instead of non stop Spartan and UNSC based Halo games that only give half of the story.
I would be interested in that, could be the covenant perspective of taking reach, assaulting earth or the battle for harvest, we’ve seen the unsc perspective of all of these places and most people that have played Halo know what happened there so there would be a decent amount of options, I wouldn’t mind it as a sort of dlc for infinite like H3 ODST was for MCC
I was one of the few who really enjoyed the arbiters campaign when H2 first came out, I think a full covie title would be a really interesting world building project and could be just as awesome if done correctly. I can definitely get behind the idea.
My dream is to see a Campaign about Sgt Johnson would be awesome same as Arbiter

You’ll find a lot of support for that idea around here.
To be honest I think the reasons we haven’t seen it happen are threefold:
- Probably wouldn’t have as broad appeal outside a dedicated section of the community - commercial risk. I really hope the Game Pass model and success of games like Jedi Fallen Order prove that this can be overcome - especially if costs of the Slipspace Engine development are considered ‘sunk’ as part of Infinite. We wouldn’t need such a game to have its own multiplayer: we could juat instead have a seasonal content drop to Infinite’s - Historic damage. Remember a lot of the senior 343 folks were around Bungie. We see H2 through rose-tinted specs now but at the time of its release it came in for some scathing criticism for its Arbiter levels. Sadly the wounds from that haven’t entirely healed. - Gameplay: because of H2 and H3 we have established that Elites play pretty similar to Spartans and expect that. If they were to want to make an Elite-focussed game I think they’d want to give it its own gameplay spin to set it apart - you’re then either jarring people’s expectations or, as with any new gameplay development, risk going down a cul-de-sac
This would be something rather interesting that I would like to see
I think it would be a good idea if they made a campaign about the banished and how it all started through the eyes of the brutes. I know we’ve seen a lot through halo wars 2 but getting to actually play as a brute or even Atriox and see through his eyes how his story all started but maybe we could see abit more from his origins in infinite but if brutes got their own campaign I think it would be a proper game changer so it’s obviously never gonna happen.

A game focusing on Sgt. Johnson. It would make anyone cry, but also bring a feeling of nostalgia. I would be totally down to play a game based on Sgt. Johnson!

I didn’t even realize that I wanted this but I now want it more than anything else that I have ever wanted before.
I would be down, maybe as some kind of spin off expansion for infinite like ODST was
I like this idea
I guess it would be fine, but Infinite will not be the exception.
