Fully Customizable Controls

I don’t really have much to say as it’s pretty self-explanatory. Just some of us wanna jump with Y and not A… you know?

I realize this doesn’t need its own thread but I accidentally sent ir through trying to hit cancel on my phone so yeah

Please God yes. I don’t know why this isn’t a feature for every game. I know you can do it with an elite controller but that has to be saved to slots. It’d be nice if every game just had the option in game.

This would be awesome. Although I don’t see it happening since that is the whole reason for the elite controller, thus resulting in less sales for Microsoft.

Thats is cool, maybe to change one button like someone said, jump with Y instead of A, but with so many years. Im talking Halo 2001, and Recon Settings I dont think I would change it.

My answer is still same as it was in the older topics regarding this subject, absolutely yes. I dont see as to why this hasnt still become a standard for console games individually. Its such an basic function which is useful for many players.

Being the owner of an Elite controller, I can honestly say that it’s much more than just being able to customize a standard controller’s buttons, at least to me. I absolutely love the paddles and wouldn’t want to play another game without them. Almost every setup I have is very specific in regards to two functions.

  1. I hate… and I do mean hate… to click thumbsticks. I think doing that causes drift to happen much more rapidly and it just feels awkward.
  2. The only thing I hate as much as clicking thumbsticks is having to reach for a button to melee. Considering that, before having paddles to map a button to, I can’t count the number of times I lost close quarters battles because I had to decide whether I wanted to keep my thumb on the R stick to follow my opponents’ movements, or hope that I could keep my opponent in front of me long enough to let go of it and reach for a melee button. Awkward. Now I can follow my opponent and melee much more easily without ever having to click a stick or let go of it to reach for a button.

I love having the paddles to map specific functions to, even if those functions are nothing more than the using paddles in place of the standard A,B,X,Y buttons and having the thumbstick clicks mapped to the face buttons.

That being said, It would still be nice to see individual games have the ability to fully map buttons, even if it was redundant for Elite controller owners.
