Hey. When making gametypes, you’re given the option to choose the weapons you hold off-spawn. Basic choices feature magnums and ARs, all that. What they lack are specialties like heavy machine guns and artillery-beamers.
Halo 4 should feature the entire lineup of every weapon you can hold, not just the conventionals. Examples off the top of my head include an Infection variant where the survivors spawn with flamethrowers, or a tactical Slayer game where players have Target Locators and high shields. Every gun deserves its right to be spawned with, if the gamewriter so chooses.

What’s wrong with diversity? 343 would do what’s best for the game. If that means a little less Team BRs and a little more of everything else, I think we’d all get by just fine.
Sure diversity is okay but something like this deserves to be in Action Sack. It seems more like a “Party Gametype” sorta thing.
“Deserves” to be in Action Sack? Is that some kind of punishment? I’ve always been baffled as to how Reach uses so many Team-DMR setups, and yet the only other weapon to get that treatment is the Sniper rifle. Where’s the Team-Swords? Where’s Team-Anything else? Halo 4 needs some plain variety, I’m tired of seeing the DMR as the only one that gets respect. Team-Flamethrowers, people. It doesn’t have to be in Action Sack to be fun.

This is not best for Halo, this would frustrate more players. I don’t want to play this kind of stupid gametype in MM I just want to play Halo.
This is dumb. The reason it’s always DMRs is because it has the biggest skill gap. Spawning with rockets and shotguns will make the game have no skill there is a reason power weapons are not spawn weapons and the AR doesn’t take any skill at all. This is just so Bad Kids have a bigger chance of beating better players. There was a reason that Team Swords and Rockets were “skip after veto” in Halo 3 because when people veto they want No BS.

Gone because nobody wants to play that crap. It was frustrating and all I ever did was kill my team. It would never be fun in my eyes. If I do not have a rifle and a good, balanced sandbox that makes player make good decisions, and play smart I do not want to play it. Same for most Halo players. Halo was known for it’s very competitive play which made it SOOOOOOOOO fun. Reach has been missing this until Dec 1st when the MLG playlist gets the goldpro beta settings ( SO EXCITED! ) But this kind of stuff makes hardcore players want to leave. We don’t want these games unless they are in action sack where they belong. Sorry. Not trying to be mean or anything. Just how I see it. That is who 900,500 players are not still here today.

Haha okay I see the concept of fun is lost on many of you. I’m sure spawning with rocket launchers and flamethrowers could only be a bad experience for you…
Say, if you’re looking for a DMR-only playlist, there are plenty of things like SWAT and MLG for you. Just because the DMR is the easiest weapon to use doesn’t mean it should always get precedence. Anyhow, this is for Halo 4. The BR/DMR may not even be present.
PS. Do you have a problem with guns that aren’t carbines? If so, why? Don’t say skill gap, it doesn’t exit in the way you want it to. The gap of skill is between players, not guns.
