does this happen to any one else? i’ve had it happen a lot. i’ll have a full shield then suddenly be dead from one shot. i always assume its from a sniper then when i see the play by play (whatever you call the updates on the left) its from a BR.

Are there already hackers in this beta/game?
This can either be an server issue, there a player that shot you. on his side, he burst you 4 times while on your side it looked like a 1 burst. it could also be an Exploit or hacker
Its hard to really know what happens without watching from what happens. Does the enemy player stare long at you? Does he do a quick turn and shoot 1 burst and turn quickly away? etc.
I think this could be an issue with the server or your connection to the server that makes it look like 1 burst. IDK the tick rate for the server for Halo Infinte, but i feel they are low since you can die when you are behind a wall that blocks the bullets. There are games out there that has this issue

I think sometimes the game doesn’t give you all the accurate sensory feedback when you’re being hit. I’ve had moments with full shield, and dropping from what felt like 2 BR bursts, but I think the impact shots just didn’t register clearly on my screen perhaps.
yea i read elsewhere that the servers/tick rate (whatever that is) could be part issues. said that is why sometimes die from what seems like curved bullets behind walls (like in the movie Wanted lol) and why sometimes melee is off/weird.

I felt like I’ve had this happen a few times. Check out “Battle(non)sense” on YouTube and his “Netcode 101” video. At the 8:00 mark he explains “super bullets’” (multiple hits calculated by the server in one update).
My gut is telling me that is what is happening here occasionally.

It’s happened to me me many times, I am glad you posted this. I was thinking maybe there was glitch, I do believe cheats are active.
Yes for sure, there is another post that details the hacks. There are videos on youtube/tiktok that shows rapid firing with no recoil and thought the wall tracking. Very sad that this game is beta and cheats are there already.
