I am really hoping that we are getting the most amazing custom games options in the history of Halo, as they’re the most important part, next to Forge, for making memorable, lasting gamemodes, both new and old. If there are any options you have in mind, add them in a reply and I will add them to the list. If they’re not there at launch, we can always push to have them added in an update!
List of Custom Games and Custom Options We Need:
Return of ALL gametypes from previous titles, or optimized minigame options to recreate them perfectly.
Examples: Juggernaut, VIP, Headhunter, One flag/bomb and multi flag/bomb for offense/defense, Territories, King of the Hill, Invasion, etc.
Primary/secondary weapon option: NONE
We’ve seen that you can spawn without a weapon in Training Mode at the range, and can still melee. This is perhaps the most useful option that we have never had available to us and have had to rely on weak weapons to get the job done. Example game types that this would be useful for: Dodgeball, Battle Royale, Clan Recruitment, Racing, Duck Hunt, Jenga, etc.
Override Armor Coating
Limited to simple, basic armor coatings such as Recruit Orange for Grifball, or Green for Zombies.
Zombies related: Bring back the option for multiple special zombie variants, such as seen in Halo 2 Anniversary’s Zombie mode. This goes well for coating override.
Override Armor Effect
Same as above, but with effect such as the zombie pestilence effect.
Player Scale Trait
Special trait to apply to player, perhaps from custom power up or gametype specific such as Juggernaut.
Infinite Ammo and Bottomless Clip
Self explanatory. Unlimited reloads or never reload ever
Bloom Toggle
Turn off bloom. Maybe a weapon specific trait in Forge instead of gametype option?
Respawn Time: 0
Instant respawns.
Double Jump/Crouch Jump modifier
Adjust % for double jump/crouch jump height.
