Frustrated with Support?

Interested to know of anyone else annoyed with the slowness of halo support or lack of a response regarding tickets submitted or messages sent on twitter?

I honestly don’t know why they have support systems in place that are basically useless. They don’t respond to twitter messages and if you submit a ticket on the waypoint support page you don’t get a response for ages and after that they never update you on it.

Also if you try and post stuff on the reddit halo sub it’s automatically removed upon posting.

why are all these systems so useless to the average user?

why can’t they update the waypoint known issues with the stuff they’ve fixed??? it hasn’t been touched since may / june.

Yeah support is a joke. Thankfully I have several friends at the studio I can talk to directly. I also have the email to the PC lead that I’ve reported a few major issues too.

I hear they will immediately fix a problem if you can spin it as some modern first world political issue.

Sent a ticket at 13:49 UK time today about an issue (a Spartan OPs achievement is stuck) and got a reply with a solution to try at 19:34 - less than six hours later.

Perhaps it depends upon the issue and its complexity.

a stuck achievement is hardly gamebreaking. you know what is? not having working offline custom games or lan. been like that for most of the year.

It can definitely be a frustrating process to attempt to submit a ticket. I understand attempting to have an integrity process for the online service and some of that can be from me, but it’s such a process to submit anything and then when you don’t hear back. I just want to play, have fun with friends/family and sweat.

It was random bro. It all started with a BTB match on Halo 3 and randomly matching with a Bungie employee.

Yep. I got 6 tickets submitted since Launch. Only one about unable to watch intro cutscene after finishing narrative event pass got “Solved” because they replied that it was by design.

They still haven’t fixed random crashing which i still get on the initial loading screen video sometimes. almost always the second launch works fine.

also the up down glitch on menu still happens, when the camera comes down to show chief standing there and then goes up and comes down again. sometimes does it twice.

the amount of bugs this game still has almost one year after launch is laughable.

I have year old tickets that are still open…

I think the worst part about Halo support is that they will give you 30 day notices to respond at random times otherwise they will close the ticket (without fixing the issue). I think that truly shows how meaningless it is to submit tickets and how little 343 cares about them.

Feels like the only time 343 acknowledges something is if we make a massive fuss about it on twitter/reddit.

i hate what community interaction has become, now it’s all social media which in my opinion is just an excuse to not communitcate as they can ignore messages on social media easier than on a forum. They only respond to positive messages on social media, complaints etc are just ignored.

just goes to show their lack of caring that you mentioned.

every ticket i’ve submitted that has got a response is always from the same person (maybe a bot) which makes me believe only one person is doing support and it’s always the same generic response.

blah blah no updates at this time…

They only care if they can put it in a feel good article. This is why people hate modern devs.
