I feel you.
They could have added more weather effects, added more encounters and objectives, more critters and
removed death barriers between the unlocked regions, but instead they decided to relocate their ressources on pvp. If they cant work on improving the still overpriced and under-delivered campaign themselves, the least they could do is hire a small team to do it or decrease the price
I think what people were expecting was the inclusion of matchmaking for Co-op, without matchmaking the majority of people will never play it. I haven’t used it for that very reason, whereas Destiny PVE Multi-player is a blast, although repetitive once you have played it over and over, but the convenience of matchmaking keeps people coming back, because it is social.
Halo Infinite Co-op was added only because they were forced to, they had promised it would be in the game, and even then 343 had to be dragged kicking and screaming to actually get them to follow through, if no one complained about it, we would have never seen it.
And that’s it in a nutshell, 343 would have added nothing to this game if people had just been the little sheep they have counted on them being.
it’s the same thing with Activision, 343 only cares about MP because it’s the most profitable, even if there’s smaller communities that LOVE the other modes, along with the same folk who like MP
in Activision’s case, they’re loosing (or have lost) care in their Zombies mode because it’s not as profitable nor do they see it as popular as MP to warrent enough effort to be put into it
Whiles with 343, they don’t see modes like FF to be worthwhile in effort because it wont be profitable, despite the fact that there are plenty of players that both love and are willing to play FF. or even with the Campaign, sure most fancy playing through a Halo campaign, but 343 doesn’t see the worth in making DLC for it, when the MP can be more profitable in their comp mindset
That being said… PVE modes have been a staple of Halo, and Bot Bootcamp isn’t enough to compare to FF or splitscreen co-op. and 343 not caring about them is inexcusable
None of the other Halo games did anything like this for the campaigns. Neither do any other games. I don’t get why you expect this from a game studio. In almost all games they make a campaign and that’s it, no updates. 343 is actually doing more than expected (even if it’s bring the campaign to the state it should have been at when it launched)
Yes it’s true they never added weapons to the campaign in the other Halo games but none of the other Halo games were open world either Halo Infinite this the first open world Halo game I feel like in an open world game new vehicles and weapons should be added over time another reason I want them to add weapons to the campaign is because there’s a bunch of classic weapons that they were removed for no good reason in my opinion which was just stupid and I expected this game to have more vehicles than any of the other Halo games and it’s locking very very much in that regard
it’s not a matter of updating it’s that they really should’ve had much more at launch, it’s bad enough it took so long for basic things like online coop and mission replay but infinites campaign is so cut and dry it’s just like how could they not afford to put more into it.
Just shut up and enjoy what 3v4 puts out. Consider it a privilege to play their games jeez
Yeah, not even close. I wouldn’t be surprised if the cost to produce the campaign still exceeds the revenue it has brought in. It’s clear PvP mtx are what’s bringing in the cash, so 343’s focus it’s not surprising, even if disappointing.
I agree to an extent. The problem is that it was pretty clear from the beginning what we were getting for the money. If folks wanted to spend money on hope and 343 promises then that risk is on them. Especially considering 343’s track record. Also, has 343 ever said they were bringing DLC (paid or free) to campaign? I don’t think they have.
