At what point was it ever a good idea to allow people to board a Mantis from the front? It makes the stomp useless (which is very underwhelming anyway) and it makes a Mantis runaway from a group of people worrying that one might get too close, instead of stomping and using a rocket or two.
Hope they can take this out down the track, cause the Mantis really needs some love.
The mantis is one of the weakest vehicles in this game. You are way slower than the ground troops and they can board you from everywhere. Wraith and Scorpions are way stronger and you even die really fast when people spam a few BR shots at you.
I finished the commendation for it, but I dont use them anymore now. It really isnt worth 8 REQ points imo.
I think they nerved because the H4 mantis was to powerfull, which I agree with. But they nerfed it too much.
the mantis is equal or less of a threat than a gungoose.

I love it when you stomp right on them with the Mantis’ foot…but they still board you.
I think the mantis could use a lower req level to buy, since it’s so easy to take down. I really dislike getting the level 9 oni mantis and being absolutely destroyed in about 30 seconds. Its not fast enough to get away and it’s not strong enough to stand and fight.
