With much anticipation of getting to relive our childhood memories and stay up late playing Halo on our Veterans Day off, we instead are rendered disappointed. We’re not here to “bash” or criticize you, we were just really hoping that a highly dedicated company as yourself would have had the issues resolved at this point. Us of all people understand that missions never turn out the way they were originally intended. With that being said there is one thing and one thing only that cant set even the worst of missions back on track, and that’s effective communications. I fully understand that you are having problems with the servers as well as informing people that you are working on the “situation”. My suggestion to you is to let the people know what the situation is EXACTLY and even if it is unrealistic give an ETA of server restoration due to its ability of easing the pain and giving peace of mind. We really hope that you have the dedication and fidelity to us, the game, and your community to resolve the situation and creating that great community that was and will always will be Halo.

I played 2 matches of Halo 1 anniv rumble pit and a Halo 3 match. All was awesome and without flaws! I think that for current issues they will have it fixed this week. I don’t understand how so many people had problems.
I put the disc in today and it downloaded fine. When it was 18% I could start playing. So I played some Halo 4 campaign. After one mission I could play Forge on Halo 2. Amazing! And later it downloaded fully. I didn’t expect it to download so fast.
I’m glad I’m having no problems so far whatsoever.

I don’t think giving unrealistic ETAs is going to help much. When they break them people will just get more angry. I do agree that communication in the forums would be great. Even if it’s just, “Here’s what the problem is and here’s what they are doing to fix it.”

My interpretation of an unrealistic time is as follows:
“We have been working on backend programming for approximately 11 hours. Our intentions are for the servers to be operational within the next 12 hours pending the upgrades are compatible with the operating system. Please be patient as we will update you as progress is made.”
Well that seems to be it for the day, It’s a shame that we were unable to play the game with our fellow service members. Thank you 343 for at least attempting to fix the issues with the game. Hopefully this weekend will produce better results.
