I’m sure we’ve all been this situation.
An enemy pops a shot into you. You shoot back evading some shots. You see your teammate coming from the side. Your shields pop. Teammate is simply running at your foe. You die. He gets a melee kill.
For the sake of the team; just shoot.
Why give the enemy team a kill when we can both survive and receive some points for ordinance; pushing our team to victory?
Why not put your team at an advantage with a bigger team to capture the flag?
Why not have an extra player to help capture Base B on Longbow?
For the sake of the team; just shoot.
