So after a fairly long hiatus from Halo 4 I came back just last week and to play some matchmaking. So I immediately go on Team Slayer and to my surprise people are voting for the Team Slayer gametype. I join in and play the most fun and balanced game of Team Slayer on Haven I have played in a while. After this to my surprise once more Legendary BR’s is voted in and I had another of the best experiences with Halo 4 I have had on matchmaking.
I’m amazed how rarely people vote for Infinity Slayer and also happy with it. It feels a lot more classic to play these gametypes and thank you 343 for including them. I’ve also tried out some other playlist and it seems that a lot of the casual players have left. Meaning that people aren’t always choosing snapshot on snipers. It’s been great fun to go back and actually be able to play snipers again properly.
It’s been a lot better recently and I’m not sure exactly what the reason is but whatever it is, I’m glad to be back.
If you like Legendary and Team Slayer than you would love Proving Ground too. You don’t have to worry about what game type is voted for then.
So because every ‘casual’ player has left the game you could enjoy halo again? when you could be just playing proving ground anyway regardless of wether ‘casuals’ are still here or not.
I agree that the classic games play better than infinity, but i dont agree casuals not playing halo is a good idea.
If casuals dont play halo, none of us will as the game will die. I want the casuals back! My most enjoyable match on halo is when its a tight competitive match, with no csr40+'s in my match. it rarely happens but when it does, its the best MM on xbox. i just hate how ‘hardcore orientated’ these forums can be… as if casual players hold you back, when really they do the opposite they pay the wages for the company that make you your hardcore/MLG gaming experience. 
i appreciate OP’s point, but im sick of seeing ‘casuals leaving the game’ being a reason why halo experience gets better for them lol
