Am I the only one who seems to always get the worst luck with these god awful teammates who do nothing but drive around in scout hogs, regular warthogs, and ghosts attempting to splatter every enemy out there to bolster their kill count while not caring about how many teammates they run over in the process? Seldom do this people outright kill me from splatter damage but the amount of times I’ve had my shields dropped in the middle of a firefight and then immediately die because of these self centred -Yoinks!- is beyond irritating. It’s people like this that really make me wish that friendly fire was enabled in WZFF beyond splatters or that these people would at least take damage for friendly fire so that maybe they’d be a little more careful about who they decide to run over.
I totally agree, friendly splatters a incredibly frustrating, especially when they kill you, take your weapon, and then you lose the boss takedown
feelsbadman
Let’s remember that it’s also self-centered to be on foot and get in the way of vehicles during WZFF matches. From my experience, that is a much bigger problem. Being on foot and using weapons is almost never a good idea after round 2, anyway.
It’s not always easy avoiding people while in a vehicle especially when it’s a tight space and/or numerous enemies are blocking your view. At the end of the day, people on foot and in vehicles need to pay attention to their surroundings.
They should turn off friendly fire so they can prevent things like splatters from happening
They need to keep it, it’s funny when you run over an unsuspecting teammate!!!
Splattering randoms and flipping their vehicles off the edge is the only fun thing in the game though

Only use for banshees since the update lol
Running enemies down is the most efficient way of getting multiple kills and winning rounds . You should get out of the way and stop being the -Yoinking!- idiot stood in the way !!! I hope you get splattered every game !!!

Splattering enemies is the fastest way to end like half the rounds. It’s not really bolstering their kill count when they’re trying to finish the game and vehicles are the best way to do that.

Weapons may not be the most efficient way of going about doing things but I’ve managed to get more kills with the gf magnum and either a br or dmr numerous times so clearly it’s not even overly difficult to be a top contributor while calling in nothing so long as you can somewhat aim. I’m aware that vehicles are king in this game mode and whenever I call one in I always clean house unless if a warden decides to keep me permanently stunned with his laser attack until I die. But that shouldn’t mean I’m always at fault for having teammates who go for splatters with no concern for their teammates whatsoever. You’re making it sound as though I’m actively flinging myself in front of ghosts and warthogs to try and get people booted and make myself spend the entire game at a respawn screen that turns into a ridiculous half minute wait time by round 5. It’s not even tight corridors where this happens most often too (like at the back of the home base or underneath the armoury in skirmish at darkstar). It always happens in wide open areas right next to enemy spawns like that giant open area around the spire on that one map whose name I forgot. There are blue markers on screen that show roughly where your teammates are. There’s a minimap that shows where your teammates are. It’s almost always in a wide open area where I’m visible from a mile away and yet because I’m between my gung-ho teammate’s ghost and an enemy, I have to get run over. It’s not even the ones who outright kill me that I hate the most. Those people I can boot from the game and I do so with no shame whatsoever. Go ahead and call in your half dozen wraiths and ghosts because they’ll all be wasted if you kill me enough. I don’t like them but at least there’s retribution in the form of forcibly removing them from the game. No, it’s the people who do enough damage to drop my shields and most of my health who are the absolute worst. Because it always happens in a firefight and being dropped to a point where even a single plasma pistol shot can kill you is awful. Not only do I now have to sit through way too long of a respawn timer, I also can’t boot my reckless teammate if they do it enough. I swear I get killed half a dozen times per game because of this. If I’m within melee distance of a lone grunt then maybe don’t make a beeline towards the grunt and turn both me and it into a smear on the wall.

I’m well aware that vehicles are the most efficient way to go about doing things and that they make quick work of certain bosses like the elites shown or the the round 5 ghosts on one of the maps. The point I’m making moreso applies to rounds 1-3 where you’ll get a lot of kill ___ objectives or defend objectives, wherein people in vehicles often can’t discern between an enemy and a teammate. If there’s an enemy spawn then you bet they’ll be driving over there as quickly as possible to splatter all of the enemies and if you happen to be between them and said enemies, they will go straight through you with no regard for their teammate that now has to wait out a long respawn timer and may have just lost a powerful weapon that they just called in. For example, had there been a teammate in front of you in the clip you showed then there’d be no way of defending splattering the boss at the expense of your teammate who now has to wait out a 30 second(?) respawn timer. There would’ve been more than enough time to slow down since you didn’t start boosting until the elites were within your line of sight. This is all just hypothetical since there wasn’t anyone between you and the bosses in that clip, I was just using it to prove a point about how being in a vehicle doesn’t give you the green light to turn your teammates into a stain, even if doing so would bet you a quick kill.

I wasn’t saying you’re getting in the way of drivers. I don’t have any reason to doubt that you’ve encountered some careless drivers. I am just speaking generally, since I rarely encounter this problem and it seems to me like there are far more careless people on foot (not necessarily you) than there are careless people in vehicles. I think you probably got unlucky and encountered some particularly reckless drivers.

If it were the case that there was a teammate between that player in the Ghost and the Elite bosses, it may not give the driver a green light to betray the teammate to get the boss kills, but wouldn’t you say that teammate is in a very bad spot? I’m not saying it would be ok to splatter that person, but I am saying it wouldn’t be ok for that person to be so carelessly in the way of vehicles. I think that’s the point Vegeto was trying to make.
And again, I’m not saying you would do such a thing, but the people who go on foot and force vehicle drivers to miss out on kills seem to be much more prevalent than the kind of vehicle drivers who don’t care if they splatter people on foot. Based on my experience
The problem is not With the People in the vehicle but the People on foot. The People on foot are not doing anything most of the time. You need a vehicle to Complete all the rounds and there are far too many People on Halo 5 that does not seem to wanna spawn in their vehicles. On top of that you are having People that spawns in stuff everygame so that they can finish the game and everygame they have to deal With People on foot. no Wonder why teamates are getting splattered.

You can do it with the phaeton’s dodge ability as well. Does a good amount of damage to tanks and banshees.

I only spawn in a few vehicles a game, and I come towards the top of the leaderboard, so you don’t always need vehicles.
They’re random vehicles too, most of the time.
Can get annoying sometimes but after a while I just end up getting revenge by making them get killed by AI by a slight nudge plus have a friend who always try’s to betray as soon as the game starts.

Yes when I see a random spawn an Oni or Hannibal tank I make sure to use a phaeton to get it off the edge
Wow. it’s disheartening to read that there are actually people awful enough who go out of their way to destroy their teammates in Firefight after spawning something in. I am thoroughly pleased I have not run into any of you in my matches.
As for the original topic, I’m afraid I am often one of those jerks in the ghost roaming around ramming hordes of Prometheans and covenant. But I’d also have to echo what has been mentioned here, too. I do try vigorously to keep from plowing through my teammates, often if it means taking hits because of lack of maneuverability. But it can be very annoying trying to maneuver around bodies that seem to be quite oblivious of where they are or what’s around them. As such, when I’m on foot, I try to stick to the sides of corridors so vehicles can more easily maneuver in and out. Even so, I try to be vary wary of nearby vehicles. Maybe I’ll climb on top of that ledge instead… =/
And regarding bolstering kill count, I often find it more often people bolstering their kill count when they should be in the garage keeping the Prometheans from capturing it. Dang it.
