Should 343 remove friendly fire? i know is against the whole philosophy of the game i’m Just tired of people betraying for childish reasons. I would like to know your opinions guys. I know this is probably not the best solution but at least make a playlist where friendly fire is not allowed, something like that idk.
team killing adds nothing to the the game it just promotes toxicity and should be removed

True. that’s a another reason why friendly fire shouldn’t be allowed. Your own team mate pop your shields down for a dumb reason then the enemy kills you. Since is not a betrayal they get away with it. I like to call this a “technical betrayal” lol, And now that you bring this up, in my opinion this issue should really be dealt in some way by 343.
I like it but I also don’t. I don’t like it when kids betray me for snipe or rockets (even though I’m probably going to give it to them anyway cuz I suck with them ). I like it because it adds risk to splash damage weapons
I think it should depend on the playlist. It should be on in HCS for example since that’s basically the Esports playlist, but in something like Action Sack, I think it should be turned off.
I personally think it should be removed. For reasons of all sorts. I could see the HCS keeping it though. That I can understand. I think 343 has tried to hard to make this game decent. They tried to reinvent the wheel here and most of it has backfired.

The reverse also happens when an AI shoots you then a teammate runs you over, sometimes the AI gets the kill.
Turn it off. It gets extremely annoying in grifball when your own teammates kills you. Most of the time by complete accident. In which case im ok with it. But if your doing it out of spite then ya its aggravating. The thing that gets me is being kicked for it even if its not being intentional. I’m in favor of it being removed but for a custom game leave it as a option.
EDIT: After just getting booted from a grifball game because a teammate booted me even after we were winning and I had 2 goals scored, I want to reiterate how much this friendly fire and being kicked for it needs to go! Lost a good req pack on it. About to stop playing grifball because of this issue.
I never understood why friendly fire is still in Halo. It’s never played an important role. Just makes it so your A-hole teammate can harass you because you decided to pick up the sniper.

I agree. I get booted from games which waste a req pack all the time. Yet i try not to kick anyone unless his/her name pops up repeatedly. And usually that team ends up losing. 343 you really need to step up and do what LeathaIQ suggested. When it comes to Halo 5bive got to say it is by far the worst game in the halo series. So many of us are pissed about it yet you do nothing to fix these legit complaints. Get rid of friendly fire in ALL social areas and keep it in ranked and custom game play as an option. Remember it us the fans that keep you employed and pay your wage. You seriously need to listen to us. We are the ones playing your product. We are the ones buying your product and it appears to me that you don’t give a -Yoink- about us. We will eventually lose your fan base which will dost you your job. I for one am sick of this B’S. And as a major halo fan I beg of you to listen to us and rectify the problems that we see, such as halo 5s multiplayer mode. I’ve beaten it solo o. Legendary and also on multiplayer on heroic. I am a trophy hunter as well as an achievement hunter. He’ll the only reason I even bought an Xbox 360 then an Xbox one was strictly for halo and you guys at 343

idk if friendly fire away should also remove vehicle damage, but i get u, I’ve been killed by reckless teammates drivers just after I respawn and they make me waste a great req card, like level 5 armor ability or something.

Not just that, I’ve been booted for betraying teammates, when they run in to the middle of the road chasing kills, when they should be behind some kind of cover. Full speed warthogs, ghosts, & boosted wraiths don’t stop on a dime, or even a spartan.

Pretty much this. It Absolutely must be on in Ranked, otherwise gameplay becomes garbage like Halo 4 (remember everyone throwing nades like they just don’t care…) I’d be ok if it was on in social as it’s social where all the team killing is mainly anyways. I find that it’s players that play more soical that tend to do team killing more, as they’re the ones that care more about things like completing that Sniper commendation say for example. I see it all the time when I play BTB for example. Happens to me a lot too, but again only in soical. I can’t even remember the last time it happen to me in Ranked… Not saying it doesn’t happen in ranked, just saying it happens alot more in soical.
Nah I say add friendly fire to all playlists. Except for warzone I can see that going out of hand
