I know a lot of people are saying no because of teamkilling but it would be ok to have FF on, ive played thousands of ranked and MCC games and have never had a teammate intentionnally try to kill me, and i bet everyone else has had the same experience also so i dont see any reason for no ff and player collision. I mean, we dont have player collision but bullets dont go through teammates including sniper rounds! just do the same thing to players thet they did to bullets!
do you know that ranked and social playlist’s are 2 compleet diffrend things.
in ranked there are not doing teamkilling at all since its only hurting there own rank also so is it worth the joy if there are hurting there own rank also if there own team is losing thanks to him then he gets a big problem from the other teammate’s since it thanks to that guy then there lose there rank.
in social playlist’s you lose compleet notting at all
so if there kill there own team mate’s in the social playlist’s there not hurting there own also.
the only thing there get is the joy for doing it since there is no ranked system in the social playlist’s.
and if you wane bring friendly fire back in the halo serie’s then you most not make the multiplayer F2P in the first place since then there cant do notting against then to stop then for good and learn that type players a good lesson.
edit: its the same with the diffrend between a big company and small companys.
since small companys think first good and learn the good and bad effect’s from a lot off things before there going to add then.
big companys give no crap about stuff like that there only care about making fast more money.
think is good back in the past with the lootboxen crap in 2017 with EA that not have think good at all that it has back fire really hard to then since if you think good about adding Pay to win stuff then you know 100% its going back fire hard back to you in the end.
I wish they would I miss my trolling sometimes it’s fun getting reactions from super hard core players they like to cry the most!
Well, Bungie is a developer while EA and Activision are to the most part Publishers. Bungie even having been under Activision with Destiny and the aforementioned Destiny 2.
Second, this is about cheat prevention not game development which takes a completely different route as that entails a whole lot of art, unlike cheat prevention.
Hackers etc would be larger in numbers than the employees who oversee the protection of the game.
Good for you.
Just a decade short to start attempting to school me.
So no, I had not asked you to play the multiplayer.
Why would I do that when you keep talking about how griefing will destroy the game and they present ways to avoid bans, but you refuse to test those methods out to see how long you have patience to do it.
Why would I have a reason to look at your service record?
“People will do this and that to avoid a ban”
And you refuse to test your method out to see how dull and boring it is.
But sure, a massive chunk of the player base will spend entire weekends on end going in to grief on plenty of different accounts if FF was enabled in Social.
Well you say it’s so easy to do and people will use it to avoid bans. Simulate that and see how long you can hold it up for.
And? There’s no difference just as long as you can do the same thing there as you’d do to avoid bans on XBL.
Halo Infinite isn’t a game with several different characters for one account.
Yes?
That’s you making an assumption.
That’s the schooling again, and I have to ask, what’s the relevancy?
It’s efficient and doesn’t clutter the thread.
I do as I wish thank you very much.
All you need to do is mark the text you want to respond to and a small popup button comes up called “Quote” which you click on, it’ll automatically put the section you marked into the correct tags to have it quoted, then you type what you want for that part and to continue you mark another section, Quote again and continue. Quoting several different sections without typing anything yourself removes previous quotes.
Now you know how to handle a post tagging you and several others.
Any other reason other than not knowing how to handle it is merely an excuse not to engage when you can’t answer.
Actually, Ranked would be the perfect spot for griefers to grief, and considering Halo Infinite’s ranked does have FF enabled and there aren’t vast numbers of posts regarding such an issue, one would have to assume that griefing in ranked is low.
See, a griefer wouldn’t care about their own rank, why would they if they’re out to cause distress and frustration? Their own enjoyment is the torment they cause others, and what better place to do that than in a playlist where there’s something at stake for the team mates?
Apart from, you know, plenty of things.
Monitor new accounts.
Force a tutorial play through before getting to play multiplayer for each new account.
Purgatory ban system as explained earlier.
Address monitoring and suspension.
Remind / Encourage players to report unwanted behavior.
its true that there are publishers but there are also developers at the same time.
take EA its a publisher and has also a lot off developer companys like Dice and Bioware that are both from EA.
and that is now where things make a big diffrend between developer companys like Disc and Bioware vs a developer company like bungie.
both Disc and Bioware give no crap at all about there communety’s and if there like it or not there give no crap about it and launch still the game when things are broken like crap.
since there only most make more money and money.
the same we have see when bungie has make a deal with activision and how crap destiny 1 has come out.
but since bungie has develop destiny 2 alone without activision things have going good for the game.
halo infinite is not a MMORPG at all in the first place.
That would be EA pushing the launch to make money. Not dice and bioware.
Not that it matters for cheat protection or even Friendly Fire.
Spot on.
And as such completely redundant to bring up in the first place.
Do you not think this should be allowed or able to do? I find it as a fun and exciting new way to speed across the map.
Let me put it like this:
The cons of having FF on is that teammates can betray you. The con of having FF off is enemies will spam explosives with no fear of hurting their allies.
The former happens probably 1 in 15-20 games (purposefully or very aggressively). The latter is every single match, especially zone control.
if you wane stop the cheating problem in a multiplayer game like halo or Cod the only way to stop then for good and hit then also hard is to prem bann there game from the multiplayer.
same works for the friendly fire system if there are toxic players that think its funny to betray you teammate’s for the power weapons there have or for the fun then there need to prem bann there compleet game from the multiplayer.
but to make sure it has a 100% effect the multiplayer most never become F2P in the first place like we have with halo infinite.
and thats why a lot off people that hate the F2P formule have also study good what the worst effect’s are from a F2P formule since it remove’s the banning system compleet and make’s it useless and pointless.
I don’t know I’ve never try it. But it’s 343i who decided what’s gets cut out or not.
Massive circle to say unrelated tings and to treat the symptom and not the cause.
And rather than advocating to treat the cause with better and improved systems and procedures, it’s attempting to lecture others on matters unrelated to the perceived issue.
please stop with this crap idea’s that systems need to be inproved since you really not understand it at all that systems have a limit there can do and easy can be bypass if it needs to.
and not forget the false reports people can do that the system cant understand if its a false report or not.
like i keep telling each time again and again.
if you wane stop the cheaters in your game or toxic players when the game has a friendy fire system on.
then you need to bann there game for good since each game has there unique code there cant chance.
and the only way to make it work 100% is that the multiplayer most go back to the Pay to play formule.
thats the only effect way that works good and you not have to have any systems to do for it only some people that look at the report clips if the player there report is not using any cheats or is killing there own teammate’s always for the fun.
the same way there are doing now more when you report players or make a ticket.
Well if the system is crap, easily bypassable and doesn’t do anything. Then there would be bo difference in the game if i343 removed any and all protective measures they have for Infinite.
Yeah Hi there, remember the decade you’re behind and when I told you most scenarios you can try to lecture me about?
Been there been subject to it.
What’s that? People wanted ingame reporting? Well i343 delivered.
Certain aspects can be monitored to see if it’s a false report or not.
And for that, go read my replies.
Go test what you say others will do for lengthy amounts of times over a long period of time. See how utterly bored you’ll get.
Treat the cause and not the symptom.
Improve security.
i think it was 5 or 6 month’s after launch day we got it so thats more to late then if the friendly fire was still active that the first 5 or 6 month’s after launch was more a hell since there was no report function at all.
since we got then a other extra problem in the game then the problems we have now all.
Irrelevant to the “crap ideas to improve the system” notion.
Reminding players to report is apparently a crap idea but i343 made it far more simple for everyone to report.
And we did have a report function on this very site, still do.
And that’s the only thing you concentrate on.
