Sitting down after a taxing day, wife passed out in bed, picking up a controller, finding a match and hearing the unmistakable sound of a diaper being filled like a balloon is being emptied of mud.
With join-in-progress, and bots, dropping tkers is no longer an issue. They weren’t contributing anyway, and as you said, it helps balance explosives. It’s frankly weird that vehicles still kill teammates, but nothing else does.
This is wrong unfortunately. Bots are borderline worthless in matches and join in progress has not helped a single game I’ve seen it kick in yet. Usually the game is spiraling downwards so quickly once you lose a teammate that you can almost never recover when it actually kicks in. Join in progress is nothing more then a bandaid in most situations at best, only really useful in game modes were there are a lot of active players playing, like Battle Field games and their 64ish player counts. Not 4v4 matches or even BTB’s 12vs12.
I DEFINITELY miss and want player collision back. The amount of times someone has jumped through me, Then somehow back smacks me, is absolutely ridiculous!! It’s beyond annoying and frustrating! Not a single person I know that plays this game or did play this game liked how there was no more player collision. It needs to be back!
Friendly fire I would rather it be on across the board but I would settle for a compromise of on for ranked and off on social.

I genuinely cannot stand how 343 has ruined Halo by removing collision, friendly fire, yoinks, and yet they KEEP betrayals, AND THEN BAN FOR DOING THEM. WHY?
Make up your minds. Either you want people to play like OG Halo, or you don’t. Stop restricting our freedom. No more free will, no more freedom of customization, no more playing how you want to play? 343 tries to fully control how people play Halo, and everybody hates it.
Bring back vote kick in Social. Bring back player Karma and blocking/muting people. Stop forcing us to play how we don’t want to play. If someone blows up their team, let that be a lesson to them, but not a ban for betrayal. It’s not a difficult concept. Bungie figured it out two decades ago.
I miss the days where we could call someone an idiot on mic for betraying the whole team, and voting them out of the match, or everybody on the team betrays the teammate and even the enemy comes and bags on the teammate with us
We had honor back then for moderation. If somebody was consistently being a jerk, everybody on both teams would global mic yelling HE RESPAWNED, GET HIM!!! GET HIM!!! and it was always a hilarious and fun time bonding with randoms and the enemy team
I’m with you on it not being an acceptable solution for allowing for team killers to be booted from games. I would say it’s only because bots are worthless and the fill ins don’t happen fast enough. I have definitely had fill in players turn the tide of games. It’s worked both for and against me in plenty of matches and I’ve been the fill in helping my team make a comeback too.
I believe bots should be set to Spartan and have their AI improved more. We should be able to mark the bot to follow us if it’s doing something stupid, or punch the bot to make it drop the flag or oddball. I can’t stand dumb bots ruining the match.
As for join in, there should be no join if the match is half over and the enemy has a significant enough lead. In Destiny, if the enemy has an absurd lead with not a reasonable enough amount of time to take back the match, the game ends early calling it as a landslide. You should be able to vote to forfeit, especially if the enemy team is stalling the flag or ball and your team is bots, since you get a ban for leaving
I’m amazed that 343 can’t figure this out on their own. It’s almost like they don’t even play test their own game
Now that I think about it, I don’t even think bots can get in vehicles if they have the flag, even if you honk and mark yourself. It’s amazing how useless they are. They should be able to get in your vehicle, get on the turret, or follow you and back you up like Marines in Campaign. That’s how an actually useful teammate would function
So many great suggesting in there, especially the ones about allowing a bit of control by team mates.
I’m a big fan of using Spartan bots as fill-ins but it needs to be tied to the skill of who they are replacing or at least based on the MMR required to balance the teams. Low level players won’t know what to do if a Spartan bot suddenly lands in their game.
I do believe you won’t get spawned in to games that are pretty much a lost cause but I’m not sure what the actual criteria are. Either way people who bail out near the end of games only ever seem to be replaced with a bot.
I agree that it isn’t enough, but given how FFs removal has hurt the sandbox, while still letting griefers ram you with a Ghost, we are currently in the worst of all worlds. Punishment for destroying the teams warthog with your starting grenades shouldn’t be “lol guess the other team is at advantage”, it should take the guys around with it, triggering the betrayal kick nearly instantly.
I hope they improve the bots, maybe then they can put the driving back into the campaign. If brutes can do it, why can’t marines? Or is that why the Prowler and Spectre are MIA and we only fight single seater vehicles aside from turreted wraiths?

with friendly fire on things like that are still going to happing since its something that there have been doing all for a long time in the older halo serie’s also.
its the same that there drive you or a team mate from a cliff with a worthog when you are the gunner or your team mate.
so things like that are old problems and cant be stop at all.
the only solution there can do to stop it for good is to remove all the vehicles from the multiplayer maps.
but then is it not halo any more if the multiplayer has no vehicles at all.
FF on for ranked is fine. I don’t want it in my for fun games, partly because tons of losers would kill teammates because that’s how they have fun. Other part is because I’d accidentally kill my teammates often. Tactical has me shoot anyone I see around a corner, so needing to worry about checking to see if corner person is a teammate would diminish the gameplay.
Couple of people and I came to the conclusion that trolling players are accepted, only if microsoft brings back karmascore. Which was a system that if someone was reported too much it would lead to bans for that player. I was a griefer but not necessarily toxicly a long time ago. I wouldn’t do it every match. Just every once and a while. If you reported someone, you were a lot less likely to match against them. Griefers didn’t happen in every match, it kept the playerbase healthier. I think karmascore could go a long way again.

MCC is one of the handful of games that still lets you play with super low reputation karma “Avoid Me”, and only matches you with other “Avoid Me” players, but for most other games, you can’t play multiplayer anymore, until you raise your score up again playing MCC or one of the games that allows toxic matchmaking. Not sure if reputation karma affects Infinite or PC at all, since it doesn’t affect crossplay games like Apex and Fortnite, but MCC works, so idk.
Still, would be great to have this system built into Halo directly, so toxic players can play together without affecting other games, and good nice players are matched together too. Reputation Based Matchmaking
The problem I have, as I explained before, the old games had these problems but removing the function is lazy. Do you think they should remove the ability for weapons to fall to the ground, because it would often clip through terrain? That would be silly, and 343 agreed since they added a manual “drop weapon” button. Fixing bugs should be the answer. The Ark is impossible without AI drivers, and larger battles can’t happen because the enemy AI aren’t capable of using their vehicles properly anymore. The Brute Chopper bosses were awful, because I was the only target, and the tank run is a joke without any light vehicles to act as a screen. Cutting features is bad, outright.
My point on friendly fire isn’t what you think, I believe it should apply to all forms of team killing. While it would be possible to remove damage from friendly vehicle ramming, I agree that would be lame. Friendly fire means power weapons require restraint and skill in order to avoid your allies. Banning players should happen, as it always did.
banning then in a F2P model is all doing notting and its useless.
since there make new accounts or use dummy accounts for stuff like and can keep team killing by making new accounts super easy.
that works for most off the maps you fix that problem.

1 thing i know for sure is that you cant inprove the AI drive skills at all.

i think if you play halo reach on the mission On the Tip of the Spear and you use the rocket hog gun and let a AI drive now i know for sure its not going to end good if you do it on legendary difficulty for the rocket hog.

and who is going to monitor it then in the first place then since i think there not going to waste money to hire people to do something like that.

you know its super easy to make dummy accounts and use compleet fake e-mails accounts since there is a site i know that give you a random e-mail addres for 10 mins and after that its gone.

Behemoth has cliffs to fall off from it i think also has a open hole.
Breaker has a lava hole
Deadlock has cliff’s.
Highpower has both cliffs and hole’s.
Launch Site cliff and open hole’s.
its easy to drive with a warthog with a teammate in to a cliff or a hole on that type maps more.
its also a easy way to make kills if there try to hijack the warthog
It’s not easy to push people off an edge with a vehicle. While possible, it’s not something I’d worry about at all if vehicle FF was disabled. I’d be far more worried about getting shoved with repulsor, both in games with and without holes. Holes because of death, and without holes because it would suck to be constantly shoved off ledges and other things gs while sniping.
