For anyone who is still wondering about friendly fire in halo 4 watch this video.
Look at 9-10 seconds.
A player shoots his teammate with the light rifle and removes his shields!
Does this mean ff is back, or only gone on infinity slayer?

Friendly fire never went anywhere. They aren’t going to remove it…except maybe in infection.

In the e3 build their was no friendly fire.
A rocket from a player hit another and he took no damage in the e3 build.
I never thought that friendly fire would be gone for good.
They never removed it or even suggested removing it. I assure you it’s always been there.

I’m pretty sure it’d be considered very bad form if people were getting booted from exhibition builds.
They probably removed it for e3 so that players wouldn’t die from a stray rocket or a bad teammate and ruin their time after a 4 hour wait

Trust me, there was a big debate on it back in e3 at waypoint, i will try to find the link topic and link it.
More than likely it was removed at E3 because press suck and they don’t want people complaining after waiting for hours to play. Or that it was not coded to not have an option to boot if betrayed, therefore they had to turn it off to prevent a -Yoink!- booting.
