friendly fire in grifball

needs to go. it is out of control, people get booted out of every game i play. 343 removed all friendly fire out of SWAT because of accidental team killing. why would they leave it in where the team is full of people running around swinging wildly with gravity hammers…

Wow really? This already? Its part of the game

It’s a known problem. I believe 343i is working on it.

Welcome to Grifball.

Because, once again, 343 has shown that they can’t do anything right the first time. Which is why I’m more than prepared to be disappointed by Warzone Firefight, even though Firefight is something I’ve been wanting in Halo 5.

Friendly fire has always been a part of grifball, it adds to the chaotic fun, I think that the booting threshold needs to be far higher than it currently is.

Removing friendly fire from Grifball breaks the gametype.

Getting rid of betrayal booting I agree with but I will never agree with removing friendly fire from the gametype. Ever.

That’s the winning fix right here.

I’m kind of skeptical on this, I recently had a match where my teammate would kill me on purpose if I came near the ball or had it, after the third time when I was prompted to boot him, I booted him.

I agree, it seems as if betrayals is what did in fact break the game type here. I’ve also had this happen to me, and it’s not an enjoyable experience by any means. I don’t see an issue with removing it, not once have I noticed a play severely affected by friendly fire, especially in regards to the enemy team.

We should create a custom game with friendly fire turned off and compare that to the original. This would really be the most surefire way to see if removing friendly fire would suddenly make grifball broken.

They need to keep friendly fire but remove betrayal booting.
