Ok, I’m not sure if I’m the only one who feels this way but friendly fire and betrayal booting need to make a return in team slayer and big team. Without it infinity slayer feels more like CoD 4 (with the endless grenade spam) now that we don’t have to worry about accidentally betraying someone. Also I’m getting really p*ssed off whenever I got to grab a Mantis and my A-hole teammates decided to destroy because they didn’t get there first.
So what are your guys’ opinions on this? Anyone else experience something similar to this?
> Yes, it might caution those who decide to blow up my vehicle. Maybe they will think twice about killing me because of the boot.
He kills you, then you boot him… then his friend invites him and he joins game in progress.
I hate the idea of friendly fire being off, becuase of sticky detonator being placed on teammates back for suicide runs that end up not being suicidal because friendly fire did nothing… but as long as “join in progress” is a thing… booting is useless.
Sorry to hear that. It happens to the best of us. I’m just glad to have gotten my splatter challenge out of the way. Being an Operator, teammates will need a whole lot more firepower to take down my vehicles when I hit 60!

Great idea! So far, I would use plasmas (Good ol’ Halo 3), but Sticky Detonator. Nice.
I wouldn’t mind it being back so long as there’s something that keeps it fair. I for one don’t betray on purpose or kill for a specific weapon/vehicle. What gets me is accidents, like boosting in a ghost when a teammate decides it would be fun to run out and do something and there’s no time to keep yourself from splattering the poor fool. Or accidentally stickin them with a plasma when you’re in the heat of a firefight and they get in your way when you toss it.
Wish there was a system to detect when a person was actually trying to kill another player (besides punching). You can shoot someone to death in flood the first few times, but if it’s a hit, it’s on you.
Oh, but what’s really lame is that I booted someone for hitting me with a ghost and he had 2 guests, so it was 2v4 for the rest of the match. How about people play more considerately?

In previous Halo’s when friendly fire was on it sort of forced you to be a bit cautious in a firefight so you wouldn’t accidentally slaughter your entire team.
Also, I completely understand the accidental splatter. I’ve had my share of those…
It needs to be turned back on… I’m tired of being slammed into by my team mate in a ghost, or hog repeatedly and get no option to boot the troll.
People are abusing it and it’s getting old. I also don’t enjoy that TK is off, yet team mates can damage and destroy a vehicle driven by a team mate… Hi mantis…
I think we can all agree that the main issue that is a factor of betrayals is how ignorant people get with vehicles.
They feel the need to express their power by not showing any concern to their teammates, and that is where people begin to destroy vehicles (not to mention jealousy).
How about for every time they do damage to the team, they either lose experience, or score for the team as a whole before being booted?

Meh, I’ve been on both ends of it. Once in Reach, a teammate fell off the top of the spire and landed on my warthog’s windshield and it counted as a betrayal. Looking back, I’m not even mad that I got booted.
