Seriously I’m getting of sick of seeing this happen too often.
Betrayed because people don’t how to drive.
Betrayed because I got the flag or weapon they wanted.
Betrayed because that’s all my team are doing so they all join in then they get mad when they get booted…if it even bothers letting me kick me after they keep betraying each other constantly which is ridiculous.
Seriously did Halo 5 learn nothing from Halo 1? since objective based games were impossible to play with friendly fire on, lost track of how many times I’ve submitted avoid.
It can be quite stressful when putting up with this, makes me think the current ban-hammer isn’t doing enough to get rid of them.
Then there’s the fact the hit registration is broken where I’ve seen plenty of team-killing counted as enemy kills, I know it’s broken because 1 time I killed someone with a Br and the kill counted as a ghost kill for me oddly…and yet I hadn’t been using one in the match.
That’s how TKing works in halo, if a teammate kills you as you’re taking damage/have taken enemy damage in the past 5 seconds it counts as the enemy kill.

Team killing should be based on the last shot fired, all the current system does is encourage betraying with very little chances of consequences. It’s not always when taking fire from the enemy.

There is a reason for the current system… Think about how many times you’ve been in a firefight for control of a building, If you’re telling us you’ve never killed a teammate by accident with grenades or by spray’n’pray then you must be lying, blind, or just not remember.
The system where the kill is attributed to the enemy is there so that people are not constantly betrayed by accident, which would result in a lot of kicks and eventually each game would turn into a 1v1 on the Warzone maps. If every time someone tossed a nade into the just cleared room and fragged a teammate they got a betrayal you can bet there would be a lot of people screaming about it. This system has been in every Halo game and works because it just works…
Hit detection is still nowhere as bad as it was with Halo 4.

Never said I hadn’t accidentally killed a team-mate but it makes no sense to keep putting me in games with people that are well known for constantly betraying. It really makes no sense as to why it’s even in the game in the first place, it’s bad enough with having to deal with afk players. Seriously 343i needs to put them in a different lobby area like in Gta online to avoid the chances of teaming up with them. Betraying should only be a toggle in custom games. In it’s current state a terrible player can betray several times, steal the flag from a team-member and be seen as a better team member in the stat’s. Betraying should be frowned upon, yet it generally seems acceptable to a lot of players online.

It’s a fact of life, unfortunately. What can you do about it other than to try to keep away from guys who betray. That being said if someone betrays me in Arena I try to provoke them into killing me again and then I get to boot them
Yes it’s kinda a -Yoink- move but they deserve it if they killed me for a sniper rifle.
Sorry I didn’t mean to insinuate you betraying someone, I was just pointing out that literally everyone in the player base will have shot/fragged a teammate by accident at some point in time, thats why the system is in place to prevent mass betrayal bootings and bans.
This is why I stick with BTB and Warzone. The bans should NOT be removed. They are working very well.
Take betrayals away? Nah. As for the ban system I think it’s fine as it is. I’ve seen my own friends get banned for quitting (not betrayals yet) and you can see quite a bit of threads on here asking to let up on the bans(which I disagree with). So I think the current system is doing just fine. No idea what you mean by bad hit registration, never had the issue myself.
