Marines, Elites, Spartans, the ARBITER (H3), are just the dumbest! They can’t drive, shoot, and/or go in a freakin’ direction properly! My question to all of is what do hate most about the friendly AIs, tell me the worst moments with them and/or a horrible moment in the game you’ve had because of their power design. Other than simply being incompletely programmed, there are not many bad moments I’ve had with Arby in H3, only moments where he’s acting like a complete -Yoink!- and doing nothing. For some reason, a particular moment from the mission “Reclaimer” from H4 comes to mind: I had just finished clearing out an area that stopped the Mammoth, and that ####ing idiot in the Warthog strait up ran me over! This has happened to me multiple times throughout most of the Halo campaigns! 343 Industries, please fix this in Halo 6, I’m beggin’ ya!
Yeah, Halo is kinda known for having bad AI allies. It’s been a problem ever since CE, and to date I haven’t noticed any significant increase or decrease in quality. In a sense that’s good because it can certainly be worse, but it could be much better. Mind you, Halo isn’t the only franchise to suffer from this problem (there are a lot of other series’ out there with AI issues). I suppose in a way they do help you just by being there to draw fire from the enemies (and in some rare instances, actual offensive attacks, i.e. Arbiter’s sword against flood in Halo 3, Johnson vs Tartarus in Halo 2, etc.), but I think there should be more instances of actual AI assistance in the game.
Is there a game known for having good AIs. It seems wherever I go people complain about them.

F.E.A.R has fantastic AI.
As far as Halo’s AI goes, I’ve got a story for you. I’ve been playing through the MCC campaigns on heroic and I got to Truth and Reconciliation. I made it to the ship’s bridge, the room with sleeping grunts and the gold elite with the sword in the middle. I kept trying to line up a kill shot on that elite with my sniper, but the -Yoink!- marines kept charging in Leroy Jenkins style and alerting everyone. I lost my patience after going back to the last checkpoint 3 times, so I just killed all of the marines.
I continue the mission as normal and get to the captain and the other men who were locked up with him. I watch the cutscene, then line up my next sniper shot for the Elites that are about to come through the door. Well, the game still had marines hostile to me for killing those -yoinks- from earlier (even though these guys would have absolutely no way of knowing what happened) and they kept shooting me. So I had to kill all of them except Keyes to avoid getting killed, then I had to finish the mission with my idiot captain trying to kill me the whole time.
After that, I just killed every single marine I encountered for the rest of the game.
Some marines get in the back of a warthogs and fire the turret and are a lot better than me
But… One time a guy came in on warzone I was waiting for marines to damage him a good bit then get killed but no he stands right next to the marine and marine sits there I hate AIs I like the enemy AIs better than friendly
They’re not good in any game lol
Friends don’t let friendly AI drive drunk.
Or at all.
Are you kidding!!! Kat was the best driver ever!!!

That’s what I kept saying while looking at her assets.
When I would order my teammates in H5 to go a certain place and they would get there and immediately turn around, or just flat out ignore my command

You disgust me. I hope their ghosts haunt your dreams and make you pay for what you’ve done.
Over a year after release and I still crack up at the base marines in Warzone that wait till after you’ve killed an invading player to start shooting at them. Nothing like a squad of AI marines unloading a magazine into a corpse to make your day…
well, if i didnt give marines or other AI heavy weapons they usually were decent, especially the auto-aim with sniper rifle from moving vehicle. But there is exception, the teammates from the H5g, they are basically helpless if you dont give them orders and more than usual, they seem more like a burden rather than help.
Elite: Tossing grenade!
Me: Wait I’m too close to the target I’m gonna die if you throw it!
Elite: Fire!!!

Sure you were (Insert Lenny face here)
Be nice to have some control over ai’s decisions, like different modes you could put them in
I never had any problem with friendly AI’s with the franchise, aside from Kat driving (Forerunners have mercy on me) The worst case would have to be Halo 5 with the fireteam system. They hamper more than they were suppose to help.
