Friend requests while playing

When playing Firefight Matchmaking, I occasionally get a friend request from someone in the game. This popup message comes either during the game or immediately after we finish. I assume this means the person would like to join our party and stay in the next game with us. However I have not figured out hot to accept these requests.

Can someone please tell me how one accepts such a request? I have tried pushing the big central XBox button but do not see an option to accept the request. I have tried clicking on the person’s name in the game stats, but set ill don’t see any option to accept the request. Once I tried to send a friend request, but it wanted text or voice message…takes too long when you are trying to start up a game. Please help if you know how.

The message tab didn’t s how while playing… or I didn’t notice it. I did check for messages on the xbox dashboard message tab, but there wasn’t a message. I wondered if there is some other way, like pressing the start button or something.

Did you try hitting the guide button and scroll to messages?
