I saw this design on Twitter from someone photoshopping the outlines on the spartans.
Remove the outlines and place colored names above each player, then add the outlines on allies that are on the other side of walls. Readd the outlines while enemies are highlighted with the sensor gear thing.
What we had worked ok for me. Maybe just a slider to decrease/increase outline thickness and a off/on toggle to where if you switch enemy outlines off it forces the game to only outline allies, if you toggle allies off then it forces enemies on. You can have both on, remove 1, but not remove both. Removing both of course wouldn’t be an option unless a different system was In place.
I see this being a bit easier on the eyes so that you got 4 Spartans outlined instead of 8…and…8 outlined instead of 16 for btb…(or 24 if its 12v12 if btb got bigger?) I mean imagine how your screen will look with that many Spartans highlighted. I think its a bit too much.
Unfortunately I haven’t played any of Infinite yet, but should something this drastic of a change (whether good or bad) be an option. So it would look something like this:
Settings > Gameplay > Friend/Foe ID > New or Classic*
*Classic being the traditional RvB
Not sure how this would work if there are players using both settings in a game; possibly causing a bias, because one is easier to be accustomed to. Just a thought…
I agree with Pheinted here. I like having the option. I kind of just like the idea of no outline but let us see their GTs or something in red above their head. Allies being outlines and seen through walls i did enjoy though. But if no taking away the enemies outline being able to dumb it down a little would be so nice.
I just really think the bots should not all be blue colored. Make them more unique so that when someone hops into pvp they can already pick out enemies using the friend/foe system and not by just shooting the blue spartans.
