Friend invite code invalid

I sent my buddy a code just now and he said it came back invalid. Anyone else having this issue?

dont have any idea on whats causing it, but it happened with a code i send to a friend too, i see this is common

I’ve opened a ticket on the waypoint error. Are we sure it isn’t a timed thing?

They should redeem their code at https://www.halowaypoint.com/redeem.
They will receive a message on Waypoint with the Tech Preview invite. This message includes their Steam key and installation instructions for both Xbox and PC.

100%. We would not be opening a ticket or two forum threads without reading the instructions first. I hope lol
My support ticket includes a screenshot of the waypoint invalid error

I have to ask, because I’ve already dealt with a number of people already that were trying to redeem Friend codes on Steam first

Oh for sure. It could be confusing
But we know they don’t entrust those actual raw steam codes outside of this site

Man, this beta has had so many issues. I havent even been able to play it yet, because I cant load up multiplayer (yes im playing during the allotted times).

Now the code I gave to my friend doesnt work. It definitely sucks.

and yes, when I gave my friend the code I gave him the correct link to redeem it.
