I’ve hit 130 a while and am still playing the hell out of Halo. But what I’m starting to wonder is why are there is so much experience in all the commendations? I got to the top with a little more than 30% of them finished. It just sucks that there’s an absolute ton of xp left in unfinished commendations that don’t seem to serve any purpose. I think part of me is just dying for 343 to add more to the ranking. Any thoughts?
How much does a frick ton equate to in metric tonnes and standard tons?
Maybe if you only gained experience from completing challenges and commendations you wouldn’t be at the cap. One can only wonder what 343 were thinking when they made the spartan ops pay out with colossal amounts of xp combined with the double xp promotion. Did they scratch their heads when people hit max rank after the first two weeks and wonder how that happened? Like Reach they foolishly included a game complete bonus; take out that and ranking up takes much much longer.

I thought about this not too long ago. I’m SR-122 and that is with double XP and spartan ops (much better than FF imho) but I don’t really have much left to get to hit max; I do however have almost ALL my weapons to master, which are 10,000XP each.
Getting even one factions weapons mastered…you’d surely be SR-130 before then?

I’d rather they didn’t since it’s already a grind as it is, already max rank too but the only thing keeping me to stay is the latest episodes, I don’t want to be forced to play the horrible multiplayer just to get a few digits higher, it would have been nice if they kept to the proper ranking system aka the one from halo 2/3 than some number countdown.

^ This. I am SR114 without ANY double exp and exactly 3 matches of SpOps (mental hangup on earning xp against AI opponents) I am getting close to having the UNSC Loadout Mastery done, I just need over 750 AR kills before I get that. Not even close to mastering all of the weapons
It is a bit odd that all of the commendations are worth so much when you will hit max rank before completing the majority of the commendations. It doesn’t really matter though, you earn armor pieces for completing them, even if you aren’t ever going to use them…it’s something.
I just enjoy the game so even after I hit max rank and WG commendations I’ll still have SpOps and the competitive playlist and just the general fun of playing the game.
