Freezing On Main Menu

I went to boot up halo today and every time that I try to play the game immediately freezes on the main menu. It runs fine all before the “press start to begin” page, and then it sends me to the main menu and after about 1-2 seconds the game is frozen, yet the music still plays.

I have tried uninstalling and re installing, letting it sit for up to even an hour to see if it will unfreeze, launching it from the Xbox console companion app, the Xbox (beta) app and just from the task bar, none seem to work. Occasionally I get an easy anti cheat message “game security violation detected (#00000001)” message when I force stop the app from task manager, but I only get this message maybe 1/4 of the time.

I don’t have anything running that would trigger the anti cheat system running on my PC either.

It seems that there were people having these similar issues, but all of their comments are from early december a few days after the game launched and there aren’t any recent posts. I’m wondering if anyone else is having this issue after the recent update or if anyone has found a solution to this. I’m pretty frustrated as well as the game was running fine for me up until this afternoon.

I’m having the same issue. Can’t get past the main menu. Reinstalled the game. Delete safe file. Try to resynch the save file from the cloud. Nothing works.

SOLVED:
What ended up working for me this morning was force stopping “game services” in the task manager services tab. This prompted me to have to reinstall it. I also went into my Windows firewall security, “inbound rules”, and clicked on “@microsoft.windows.cloudexperience…” and changed it to be able to access all domains. After booting it up after doing these things the gaming ui tab popped up once I got to the loading screen saying that it’s syncing my data and now it’s running fine. I also force stopped all of the Xbox tasks in the task manager services tab as well when it froze the first time.
It seems like something that I mentioned above triggered it to work so hopefully someone can find this and apply it to them too.
