Freezing game forces players to dashboard/reset

I have been checking the forums for this issue and I haven’t found it yet. I might not be looking in the right area but oh well, I’ll just write it up myself-

This has been an issue for many months, where following a match, or finding a match, the game freezes completely and the game has to be reset to work.

I have dealt with this every time I play, and I know other people do too. I know this because when in a lobby with friends and a fire team, they will freeze and have to reset, and everyone else will have to wait in the lobby while the player loads the game back up.

I have had this issue. However, since I switched to a digital version instead of a disk it has been far better.

It doesn’t have to be reset but after the wait it does force you out of the lobby no matter what a lot of times.

They made a fix with the freezing back in December which is linked below, but it didn’t really help. For me, the freezes can last from ten seconds to indefinite. What I usually do is just wait for around thirty seconds to a minute and if it hasn’t unfroze then I’ll reset.

This happens to me A LOT. At the end of a match the game will just freeze although the music continues to play. The game is completely non responsive to any inputs, and I end up having to use the Xbox button and the force quit menu option. It’s been happening to me for the last few months, and it’s been aggravating enough that I stopped playing Halo for a while. Seems somewhat random, sometimes it won’t happen for a while then it happens every 3 matches.

Yeah this happens to me almost every game. Either freezes permanently or for 30 seconds. Almost always have to dashboard quick. This game is almost comically bad. Who would have thought Microsoft and 343 could spend this many hours and money and not have a reasonable functional game?

This happens to me at least every other play session, which is frustrating because I only ever get to pay 2 games at a time with my busy schedule :confused:

This is a support forum, some sort of official response would be nice.

Most of the time if you press and hold the start button (small button right of large x button) it will unfreeze. Usually have to hold it several seconds.
