Can we stop spreading the rumor that F2P equals more cheaters? Or at least explain the reasoning why F2P would = more cheaters?
Here is some education for those who complain F2P = more cheaters.
F2P doesnt get rid of your anti cheat initiative. Your Anti cheat initiative is the same for a paid game and F2P.
F2P increases player base and the majority of players are non cheaters so even if there are more cheaters, there are also more players.
The only reason why F2P might increase cheaters is because it wont cost money to make another account. That is not enough incentive to stop cheaters.

Easier for players to access the game = more cheaters. Makes sense to me.
I just hope 343 has a superb anti-cheat built in to reduce the number of cheaters

also if a cheat fails and they get banned they can just tweak their cheat software and try again. nothing stopping new account creation.
I have faith that cheaters will be fairly well combated against in Infinite. I’ve seen a few in MCC (speed hacks, no clip, aimbot) but they were quickly banned. cross platform brings in a lot of cheaters.
A F2P Game is for cheaters and smurfs quite attractive, if one Account gets banned, they don’t have to pay again for the Game, they just create a new acoount and do the same again. It’s naive to think this isn’t a Problem. I don’t know why, but for a lot of people cheating is fun, wich i can’t understand.
For smurfs is F2P a paradise. (Sure it exists sometimes other ways to smurf but they profit from F2P)
Once a friend gave me his smurf account to play a round of Counter Strike. It wasn’t even fun for one round for me. If the game it’s too easy, there is 0% satisfaction to kill the enemys. I felt bad for the enemys, especially because i know what it feels like to be at the other end.
F2p absolutely makes it easier to cheat. Having to pay another $60 to make another account is definitely a pretty big deterrent against cheating. Not 100% mind you, but it definitely limits the amount of people willing to try.

actually p2p games in conjunction with a good anti cheat makes cheaters WAY less common, thats just objectively the case. very few cheaters are going to pay for an account to cheat again if they get banned.
there are still f2p games that manage to keep cheating uncommon, like fortnite and league, but 343i needs to devise a much better system than mcc’s anti-cheat.

But you don’t pay $60 per account. Can’t you can easily share games with multiple accounts on the same device?
If we want a more scientific answer, shouldn’t it be easy to compare the number of cheaters in say… Fortnite vs PUBG?
I don’t know which one is worse in this regard, but they’re similar types of games, and one is free while the other is paid
Theres only one thing that can successfully stop a cheater, a paywall…
F2p titles arguably have wayyy more cheaters compared to paid games, no anti cheat or battle eye or what have you will stop cheating any time soon. And your argument is more players will make up for more cheaters? i thought there was no trolling allowed here.
The barrier of entry is removed with free-to-play. Now it does not mean necessarily that there will be more cheaters, 343 hopefully has put a solid anti-cheat in place. But from a logical standpoint, a F2P title is more attractive to cheaters.
