Free online REQ packs? Are they a thing?

Usually when games do this kind of stuff there are places you can go to get a few free ones online. Borderlands2 SHiFT codes come to mind.
Are there any free REQ packs floating around online?

During the HCS broadcasts there used to be lots of codes dropped for REQ packs, but those have now ended. Outside of that 343 do still give away packs on certain occasions - there was one for April fools there, they do some for Christmas, Valentines Day, Thanksgiving. May still be a few more they’ll give out in future. Don’t think there’s anything available right now

Really? I don’t have trouble finding games (though this is working hours so I play evenings). Try changing your search settings to “expanded”.

While not “free”, you can get REQ packs through Microsoft Rewards. If you use Bing a couple of times a day, you’ll rack up enough points in no time to get Microsoft gift cards which I use for Legendary Arena and Warzone REQ packs.

Every time you level up you get a level pack (nothing really to write home about most of the time) but you can buy packs with req points which you can earn pretty quickly through Warzone FireFight. As long as ‘free’ means ‘I didn’t have to open my wallet’ and not ‘I didn’t have to do anything to obtain it besides searching the internet’.

Yep, been doing this for years. I usually save up 29K and buy 12M XBLG but instead.

Oddly enough, I maxed out by XBLG so I needed a new idea haha. You can only buy 2 or 3 years or something at a time.
