Free one-month extension.

I just want to say I don’t where post this topic but anyway on 1/16/2015 I received an xbox message stating that people from the Halo MCC have applied me with a free one month extension to my xbox live gold. At the time of the message I already had xbox live gold and my gold was due to expire on Feb. 9 2015. As of the moment I don’t have xbox live gold because it expired but I should have it because of the message stating that I have a free one month xbox live gold added on. So I should really have gold until March 9 which is an extra month. I don’t understand why I don’t have gold. Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice on what I should I do?

just read the last part, are you sure it was due to end on February 9th after you got the extension?

OP - is it possible that your gold was supposed to expire in January instead? A few people, including myself, received the message about getting the free month after the month was applied. In my case, I got the free month but did not get the XBL message until about 5 or so days later.

This is what my account currently shows

I pulled that from going to the XBL Gold Subscriptions page and then clicking the ‘view history’ link

But to SWFang34 I did play the halo 5 beta or else I wouldn’t have received the message about the one month extension.

And to stckrboy: my xbox live did not end in January. I bought a 3 month gold on Nov. 9 which means that my gold was due to expire on Feb.9. which it did… but because of the message I got I should have a free extended one month of gold. and I do not have it.
