I’ve had a bit of a break from Halo (not boycotting just been doing work on the house) and I was really disappointed to launch Halo again this week and see how little has improved. 
I’ve tried most of the game types but mostly enjoy just Free for All Slayer and I’m still unable to select just that game type.
Is the general consensus that the option just to play this has gone and I now have to select Rumble Pit?
IMO Inf will always be like this cuz of how low the population is. Itll never change, I suggest MCC with the match composer. Same reason why server location will remain disabled.
Hopefully come season 3 there is a ranked FFA/Lone Wolves. I think that would be a great playlist to add into ranked. Of course keep a social playlist of it as well.
The UI excuse isn’t enough for me, they purposely designed Infinite to utilize less playlists for some odd reason… EVERY Halo game 343 has released, players scream for more playlists over and over, so why does 343 continue to do this playlist lottery BS? And it seems Rotational playlists are gone in favor of the even fewer Event playlists. The over reliance on the randomized Challenges for all player progression makes this issue even more frustrating.

Probably to funnel a diminished population into the same modes. If they give players more options they might not be able to find a match, which apparently gives a bad impression.
